I have a shameful confession.

I can't stand T20 Cricket.

I adore the 50 over game, but the T20 "Slog" is something I just can't take to. No offense to our colonial friends but it is almost as if we are trying to put an American touch on the whole game. Cheerleaders, music between overs, having a live microphone on the players.

It just isn't for me.

Jag. (Old and getting set in his ways ..... or something like that.)

I'm not a fan of T20, either, Jag. And I'm not ashamed about it at all.

Just read that Clive Rice has died. He had been struggling with illness for a while the result of a brain tumour. One of the great captains of modern cricket who built the foundations for raising Nottinghamshire from also rans to a force in the county championship.

R.I.P. Clive Rice. Made his international debut at 42 and only played in 3 ODI's. He could hit the ball harder and further than any of the players of his generation. I remember him playing in the MCC Bicentennial match at Lord's in 1987. He was determined to make an impact on that game, so he made a gritty and uncharacteristic 50 in the second innings.

Good days Cricket today. Both Captains would have batted, both were wrong!

Silly shot from The Duke of Bellington.

Sad so sad about Clive Rice.

The current test is very entertaining and it's only into the 5th session.

Yes it is entertaining. 1st innings lead of 145, is not bad on this track. Come on the King Of Swing (who despite what BBC Sports said this morning, didn't swing the ball yesterday, he seamed it!)

Does anyone know where Root is in the batting lists, and has Smith dropped behind AB once again after the first innings?
