My experience of brown snakes is that they would rather slither away, unless cornered, in which case all bets are off. So trying to handle them is not recommended.

Taipans and Tiger snakes are much more aggressive and will come after you.
There is nothing personal in this, mind, it just seems to be official policy.

Where i am the tigers are very docile, probably because of the cooler temperatures. Unless it's mating season (Feb/March).
