I nave a copy of A Brief History of Time but I can honestly say a lot of it left me scratching my head.

Jim Bowen was inspired to do stand up by the late Ken Dodd and he could also play the trumpet.

The Yorkshire cricket commentator Dave Callaghan died last Friday aged 63.

I have spent many hours listening to him rambling on while commentating on the cricket. He was always fair with a lovely sense of humour.

Obviously inspired by Steven Hawking and only two years ago he appeared in a Comic Relief sketch AND filmed a special sequence about the universe with Professor Brian Cox(he ran him over on his wheelchair) which was brilliant. I also believe he appeared at the Monty Python show because Eric Idle did his special song about the Universe which has appeared in the film The Meaning of Life.

Greatest thinker and scientist of the 20th century and now at peace. If you've not seen Eddie Redmayne as him in The Theory of Everything I urge you to see it.
He was also in Futurama too.

Here's a video on Youtube, with clips interspersed with the Simpsons clips:

Coincidentally that scene in Star Trek: The Next Generation was actually HIS idea. At the time he was visiting the TNG set and whilst looking around he come up with the idea, and the scriptwriters liked it.

Default Dr. T. Berry Brazelton

Explored Babies’ Mental Growth, Dies at 99

Quote:
Dr. T. Berry Brazelton, America’s most celebrated baby doctor since Benjamin Spock and the pediatrician who revolutionized our understanding of how children develop psychologically, died on Tuesday at his home in Barnstable, Mass., on Cape Cod. He was 99.
How He Shaped Pediatrics

Quote:
With Dr. T. Berry Brazelton’s death this week, a little shy of his 100th birthday, obituaries have commented on his prominence as “America’s pediatrician,” on his many honors, which include recognition for his work with diverse populations around the world, and on his extraordinary ability to connect with infants and also with their parents.
He was also beloved by pediatricians, and an extraordinary number of us were taught and shaped by a man who believed deeply that it all came back to looking at the baby and the parents.
