That game today deserved two comical flopped fg attempts to end in a tie.

Will takes his third win of the season with a 9-4-1 record for the week. We all take a no decision for the offensive spectacle that was the Seattle-Arizona game. I can see why Catanzaro missed with two Seahawks attempting to block the kick. But there's no excuse for Hauschka hooking that attempt from 27 yards.

Other than the fact kicking field goals is not nearly as easy as these guys make it look. Much like playing golf, which looks so easy on TV, but is damnably difficult for us mortals.

Freaking Bills come unglued in Miami, the Chargers finally look like the team that was projected by the pundits, sad days for 49er fans.

Thanks, but I'd trade all of my success and glory () for a better Niner team. This is going to be a looong season. Maybe even two or three while they rebuild. After they fire Trent Baalke.

Had a chance to see one of the B1G Network's shows tonight and one of the analysts said that Melvin Gordon is really starting to tear up that division.

Is that true?

He has scored a lot of short touchdowns (didn't score any at all last year), but his yards-per-carry average is below average - mostly because his offensive line still cannot do a good job of run blocking.

They do a bit better when pass blocking, but Philip Rivers is getting pounded a lot and 'hurried' even more. It's a minor miracle that he has done so well with his best wide receiver and best pass-catching running back both out for the season.

One thing that Gordon has done a bit better is not fumble so much.

I think SanteeFats said pretty much the same thing a year or so ago. That SD's offensive line wasn't all that good.

Well, they get that problem fixed or Gordon will be worn out in a year or two (just like most running backs). Sad to hear. He was really good here but he also had a really good O line that loved run blocking.

He didn't do much of that here but the NFL isn't college. Just hope he gets better. He seemed to be a nice kid.

It's the best we can hope for as we can't fire Jed York.

You know things are bad when you know you have to get used to looking up across the bay, provided they don't make that Vegas trip...
