I've never been a collector of Charlton comics, since I've mostly stuck with DC and Marvel. However, I once picked up a back issue of Ghostly Haunts on an impulse, just because it had a beautiful cover. (It isn't one of these, BTW). I can't chalk this up to childhood nostalgia, because I was in my 40s at that time of the purchase. For some reason, I became smitten with host Winnie the Witch.

I still don't consider myself a collector of the company, but i've bought a few lots of Ghost Manor/Ghostly Haunts when I found them cheaply in lots. I've always picked lots that had issues with Steve Ditko art, but Winnie also played a role in my purchases. I still haven't bought one of the pre-Winnie issues yet.

Anyway, even though I now have access to porn, I still wanted to see Winnie in her bare feet. She never went barefoot on a cover, but did wear some revealing strappy shoes on her first appearance.

Beginning with issue 20, the title was changed to Ghostly Haunts, although Charlton would later relaunch Ghost Manor. Anyway, here is one of the issues of Ghostly Haunts I picked up in a lot. This one has a great Steve Ditko cover, one of the reasons I wanted it.

And fortunately for me, one of the stories featured a bikini-clad and barefoot Winnie...although due to a printing error, one of her hands isn't its usual trademark-blue. I know its not a cover, but I hope no one minds me sharing.
