How many S-8-Films did you buy?

There are thousands of Super-8-films that have been produced. But who bought them all?
For me they were far too expensive and I did not own a projector.
Later when Video became popular, I watched films from a videothek and bought about three films for a very reduced price.
But: As expensive as they were when they were popular, people must have bought S-8 films.
How many did YOU buy?

I was way too young when actual films were a thing. VHS had replaced all actual films when I became old enough to buy porn movies. How time flies...I'm 55 now.

None. They were phased out by about 1984. I am a slight bit older than you but I recall these were very expensive in the early 80's. 50 to 75 to 100 bucks was not unheard of. When Beta and VHS came along and became more prevalent in the early to mid 1980's they transferred many of these to loop compilations which were far more affordable. Unless you had a specific model you were interested in, it was worth waiting for the compilations unless it was a very obscure film series.
