As has been pointed out, and I recognized it right off, that's an English/British breakfast. I almost called it a "fry up" until I noticed the beans.
It might depend on what you are accustomed to. Some people will eat big in the morning, work hard for four hours, take a coffee break, work another hour and a half, eat lunch, then work until 5PM with maybe another break in there somewhere and then it's home for dinner at 6.

The routine I recall from dairy farming: get up at 4:15 in the morning, stagger into the kitchen, drink a strong cup of coffee and eat a few cookies, then go out and milk the cows. Come back in at 6:30 for an actual breakfast, cereal and bacon and eggs and toast, then relax for awhile before getting on to the miscellaneous farm chores of the day. Pop like Coke or Mountain Dew would be consumed to keep energy up before lunch. Lunch wasn't a big thing, just a regular lunch. Then more work, more pop and maybe a candy bar or something, milk the cows again in the late afternoon, then in for dinner, which was the big meal of the day, since you had time to relax afterwards and fully digest it.

For hard work like summer haying there was always a cooler with a LOT of pop and jugs of cold water on hand, and people ate light in the heat for lunch, mostly sandwiches. You would certainly hurl a heavy meal haying in 85 degrees Fahrenheit weather, if you weren't accustomed to it.

One thing I can say is that no self-respecting American would ever eat beans for breakfast. That might make you hurl, even if you didn't have to do any farm chores afterwards.

Reminds me of a gag from the late great Irish comedian Dave Allen.

Cowboy films. How come you never see a cowboy go for a crap? And all those beans they eat!

I do believe that beans for breakfast is still a U.S. Navy tradition. Must be hell serving on submarines.

But I read that during Obama, there was a "national program" to fight obesity in the USA in promoting healthy food.
Is it too recent to already watch some results?

We seem to be getting slimmer and healthier here in the United States, but over 40% of adults are still "obese," i.e. really fat

The "Food Police" that were rampant during Obama's term and are still very much trying to stay relevant, are still trying to fight obesity. They have banned foie gras in many restaurants as being cruel to animals (which can be true to an extent, but i do not think most obese people eat foie gras) , they continue to protest outside BBQ and Steak Restaurants and continue to try to force veganism upon everyone. In NY they tried to ban salt so that they can save lives from heart disease. People are going to eat what they like, and in most instances obesity is caused by some other factor. Some it is truly genetic (thyroid disease, glandular, etc.) but IMO it is usually mental/emotional. My grandfather ate eggs and bacon for breakfast and steak and potatoes with salt and butter for dinner almost his entire life and he died at 93. Not from his diet but because of old age. He was also a very emotionally stable man and stayed active his whole life and he was classified as obese.

Michelle Obama was big on forcing schools to provide healthier lunches to fight childhood obesity. These "healthier lunches" cost more to provide so parents were forced to pay more, and in many cases the kids threw away most of the food because it did not taste good (I guess her strategy of starving kids would reduce obesity). Unless you have someone there forcing the kid to eat the food, it does no good, and the kids were just eating junk food when they got home.

There is nothing wrong with promoting healthy food, but when you mandate it, you have gone to far. People can still get fat by eating "healthy" food.

One of the reasons people get fat is because they forget that the 'IN' hole is bigger than the 'OUT' hole.
