I have no idea how you can get that idea, but excuse me if I don't believe it. UK gives India 150 million a year. No doubt they do good things with it, but losing it wouldn't put a dent in India's a-bomb & space programs. Or even a scratch



You know the size of India's economy, and their national strategic aims, I hope?

From China, Russia, the US and EU, the only one I'd rule out is the EU. This is because it doesn't accept sh*t, and it's hard to convince influential people in 28 countries

However, US lawmakers definitely are "bought" -- it's not called "the best government money can buy" for nothing

They also have interesting desires for the UK economy after Brexit. Good luck, if the USA is your great hope. Because it's not 1941 anymore, and it's not wise to live in a time bubble and think they'll "save your ass" again when they have no reason. This link explains what they want

I think scounds was expressing the view that Us giving aid to a country with nuclear weapons ans a space programme might seem strange to an untrained eye.I'm sure that it will hold Us in good stead when We're grovelling Our way around the World post Brexit..

I narrowly avoided spraying coffee all over my computer the first time I saw BoJo claim he could make a better deal with the U.S. than the E.U. provided.
