I used to buy Club and Club International magazines in the mid 90's and see those lucky guys with those beautiful women in simulated photoshoots where there is no vaginal penetration and no actual woman's mouth contact with the guy's penis.

I think Club US was ‘97 and the others followed gradually. Penthouse, Chic and Hustler had been pushing boundaries since the early ‘90s and there was a brief Flynt spin-off (New Rave?) in the late 90s that was a bit more “alt”. Very few copies around from the ‘94 - ‘99 era in my experience and by early 2000s HC had become the norm (and for my money less exciting).

I recall back when PH was pushing envelopes it was also when my fave photographers were creating some of the best work. late 80's through mid 90's Huge efforts were made to create elaborate and beautiful scenes, costumes, and positioning of models that were 'erotic' and 'romantic'. By mid 2000's major studios were taking over, syndicating picture sets, and design of sets and scenes lost it's aesthetic and stylistic sophistication went out the window.

Jack Harrison, even early Earl Miller, and my all time fave Philip Mond's pictorials 'experimented' with hidden blow jobs, that were actual contact, then just-before-penetration shots. What was wonderful was the use of stunningly beautiful unknown models, or models know for their soft work, doing HC.

The forever gorgeous Leslie Glass's HC picture sets with her then beau a case in point. There were several Mond sets which were high points of theatricality and style. One with a brunette enjoying some time with a gent on the edge of an antique bed. The lady still remains a mystery to me and VEF it seems.

What ever happened to Mond? Harrison? et al?

Now a days, frame by frame by frame shots in the hundreds are bog standard. No subtle moody lighting, no more hints, just breakfast - lunch - and dinner for all to see, and none to imagine what could be.

I remember the first porn I saw on film.

Drive in theater - 1970 - my sixteen year old brother drove my 13 year brother and a cousin with me - 9 years old - hidden by their feet - covered with a blanket.

We saw "Daisy Chain", "Country Girl" and "Thar She Blows".
