Blocking the ads and pop ups on an Android phone

Due to time restraints, not having much free time to view the forum, I mostly visit using my android mobile phone. However, I'm seeing so many adverts and pop ups every time I click on something it's putting me off visiting.

For example the image hosts, every time I click on a thumbnail one or more new tabs open up with adverts or fake virus alerts which must be closed before i can get back to the thumbnail post. I have never been able to view anything on imagetwist because of constant pop ups.

I need advice on how to block all the annoying crap before I give up completely and only visit when I have time to fire up the laptop which at the moment is never.

You can get Firefox for Android from the Google Play Store. Install the uBlock Origin and NoScript addons for Firefox and you should be good to go.

After a lot of fiddling about I managed to find a version of noscript that worked do I need to install adblock plus as well like I have in the laptop?

Nope, uBlock Origin will handle that and I personally like it better that ABP.
