Default 35mm Colour Slides

Hi

does anyone know of any good reproduction companies that can process a 35mm colour slide ( 2 inch by 2 inch ) - from 1976 and give me a large colour print to frame or hang in my room - I bought 4 of them tonight , and one of them is of my favourite model - so I am keen to get this developed -
any advice happy to hear ??
regards 73

Kodak Eastman in USA is the last big commercial company that will still process and print from 35mm slides and negatives. Unfortunately they may not print porn or nudity. There are a number of private publications that will scan your 35mm slide and provide you will a digital image which you can print from. If you have an older scanner with an attachment for negatives and slides you should be able to make the scans yourself at 300dpi or greater, touch them up for any unwanted noise or age damage and then print 8x10s yourself. If you want larger than 8x10s or someone that will do better quality work you can find a graphic artist in your area from Craigslist.

p.s. make sure you store your 35mm slides where they will be humidity free, do not get any light and at room temperature so you do not get any damage to thew slides.

Are these slides already processed? Its getting hard to find folks to process the film, but to print from negs or slides is easier.

If you're in Scottish borders, not too far from you in Newcastle is digitalab, been around a long time, and have very top notch equipment.

They also do E6 (slide) and C41 (negative) processing (although not Kodachrome-- there may be only a few shops left that do that, i think one in Japan).

Never used them, but highly regarded and excellent kit.

If you don't feel like sharing your erotica with a photolab (unless its hardcore, they're not likely to care about glamour type nudes), you can still rent a darkroom and print it yourself. Rental darkrooms used to be common, there are still a few.

Just googling, I found this in Edinburgh, looks like a very well fitted out place. They have color facilities, but you have to ask-- "can you print from transparencies, or only from negatives"; printing from slides is a different process.

[edit] This looks to be an _extraordinarily_ well fitted place, I'm sorry I'm not there. I've never seen any other rental lab with a Hasselblad digital film scanner -- this is a $20K piece of kit, very high end and unusual. Any rare and high quality transparencies you have-- I'd get them scanned on this. Would love to see the results, if you do!
