This is weird, we're 6 weeks out of winter here and it's been the hottest start to a spring I can ever remember, already had about 5 days over 30 (86 F) was 34 yesterday but a cool change hit this morning and now I'm cold and feel like putting on the heater

Was then thinking of snow

I've always been fond of pictures of structures covered in fog. There's something mysterious, yet exhilarating about them.

My last batch of pics from my vacation in the S.F.area in June 2008.
I had a day all to myself,so I left my sisters house at 8 in the morning,and returned at about 8-9 in the evening.Took the train to S.F.,tram to Fishermans Wharf,walked along the bay to the Golden Gate Bridge,up and over to the other side,and then back again.A great day,with a crablunch at the Wharf,beer on the way,great people on the bridge,and a couple of Guinness on my way back.I even hanged out with the locals on Pier39

,but they where to groovy and cool for me.Probably dreaming the Whale Dream

Hope its ok to mix citypics with some nature/landscape ones.

The last pic is of the Bay Bridge,between S.F.,and the East Bay,Oakland area.

Thanks for the pix of one of my favorite North American cities, San Francisco.

If you ever get the chance, go back there for Halloween. They have probably the best Halloween parades and costumes you will ever see. Its been a few years since I was there but they have at least two parades on Halloween night. The gay parade I believe is on Castro Street and is just unbelievable. The straight parade is nearby but I don't remember the streets.

What blew me away were the costumes. Just unbelievable. I heard it said that some people spend the entire year working on their costumes. I can believe that.

Oops, may have spoken too soon. Apparently the event became so popular they had hundreds of thousands of people there. I guess they called it off in 2006:

There must still be things going on though. And SF is always a nice place to visit.
