I think the whole press and TV media is making the same mistake with the AFD, which has promoted once "The Toupee" in front of the public attention.
They - "The Toupee" and the AFD as well - are using the same strategy, only using deliberate provocations keeping up the attention of the press & TV media; to promote this attention up into the public.

That strategy seems to be easy and is working.

It's not a mistake. Medias are runned by people who manipulate the priorities of the facts.

I don't care a nut about if it is a (conscious-) manipulation as you say or a mistake - it is wrong keeping the public attention only to this deliberate provocations - having not facts behind. .

The way I see it, people soon realise that far right parties are a complete and utter waste of time. Just look what happened to Nick Griffin in the European Parliament;
2009 132,094 votes 8.0% of the vote.
2014 32,826 votes 1.87% of the vote
A pretty spectacular rejection.

This is what I don't understand when people talk about Adolf Hitler. The German people may have loved him when he promised that Germany would be the greatest nation on Earth. They were not so keen on him as he cowered in that bunker in Berlin, while they were fighting one of the bloodiest wars in the history of Europe, seeing their country get obliterated and their people slaughtered by the millions.

A bit of an uncomfortable area this for those loony Labour luvvies, PFI's were introduced by John Major in 1992 and Labour objected furiously at the time yet it was under Labour led by that flip flopping "trust me" spouting, non-stop grinning false messiah that they took off faster than a space rocket, although unlike space rockets which tend to have a specific target and are meticulously planned no bugger had any long term plans for PFI it was all down to short term budget fiddling and cross your fingers.

A Politician has seen the light and recognised they were wrong No doubt it will all be down to those evil Tories LABOUR TWATS !!!

As I understand it the AFD is somewhere between the BNP and UKIP to which those votes transferred to in 2014.

Waste of time? As far as UKIP is concerned it's pretty much mission accomplished. These far right parties have already made nationalism, immigration and 'Islamification' mainstream issues for mainstream parties all over Europe and the USA.

Problem with democracy is that we "decrepit old fossils" have a vote, same as younger "enlightened" folks. Unlike them we use it .

Biggest thing to notice is that once again the world didn't end on the 23rd and we're still here. However this scientist admits he got it wrong and now says it is actually the 21st October when we all go to hell in a handcart. Don't book any trips yet!
