From memory it was a freebie, from one of the video distributors, back in the days of video tape.
Please excuse the poor scans. Did them in a hurry as I realised this thread was still running.

The brunette (Nikki?) was a regular I believe, as her husband was the editor.
Personally I think it was a shame he didn't marry the (unknown?) blonde.

Do any of you Australian posters remember Ribald or Bawdy? These were hardcore mags, published in Australia during the 70's and 80's. I think at first they were rough newspaper style then went to a more professional magazine format. Ribald also had a personal classified section, which catered to all sexual tastes. I haven't seen any old copies around for years, and can find no references on the Net either.
Interesting to hear if anyone else remembers them.

Like the others (Ribald, Searchlight) it was principally a contact mag/newspaper with some hard core pictorials, like "Bawdy", featuring relatively unknown models, possibly readers wives? As does "Flesh".

Guess Aussies are way more interested in participating, rather than viewing.

These were great magazines, especially the earlier ones that I suspect had local porn shoots or used older high quality hardcore shoots rather than just cutting pages out of teenager magazine and putting them in. Wish I could get some of these. I did have some once, but the "paper" collection of porn is gone, never to be seen again. Damn..

I have lived in Canberra in 2004-5 and found scarcity of sex shops. There is secluded area called Fyshwick where i saw one or two brothels and a couple of video shops. Most prominent of the videoshops at that time was Adam and Eve but that too was deficient. There were hardly any classic masterpiece in it and most of the stuff was post 1990. The only business known to be thriving was that of escort service. There is also a small nudist club on the Northern border of Australian Capital Territory. On the whole, I was disappointed in Canberra

Probably coincided with the SBS TV channel and their beginnings where they seemed to show nothing but erotic softcore and harder...friday nights were especially good
