Badlands (1973)
Martin Sheen as a slightly psycho killer on the loose in the northern plains in the early 1960s. Sissy Spacek as his jailbait girlfriend. Neat old cars and nice scenery of the plains but nothing of the physical feature we know as the badlands (a really cool place if you've never been there). Weird to see Martin & Sissy as younf people. I suspect there is a private home-made video somewhere of son Charlie and Flame doing their own take on the characters.

Just watched Solomon Kane,Not too bad, mainly British cast which is why it didn't do too well in the US.Set in some indeterminate period of English history,it 's rich in anachronistic detail. The movie lacks an interesting villain though, incidentally Max Von Sydow plays Kanes father,He seems to wear very well.

I'm not really a "feel good" type film fan, but this film I've always liked. John Candy was always one of those actors who sadly never got to see his full potential, he just had that thing in him that made a feel good type film worth watching. And the fact it's based on a true story makes the film a minor classic I think

An ok story but in the main it has actors who aren`t natural English speakers. In fact a lot of them just seem to be repeating the words as if they`ve learned them a minute before and have no understanding of their meaning. While a few others were obviously unable to even manage that and they`ve been dubbed, but dubbed amazingly badly. Is helped by a nice modern clean looking image though ,decent sound track . Great pacing and very excellent looking zombies. Well i say zombies they look more like mutated monsters. Which ain`t no bad thang

Sorting though my DVD`s and found this masterpiece
So am watching it now . That is i`ve been watching it as it`s almost over . Yes for anybody who`s also watched it i`m nearly at the tragic final scene, which although fully deserving for the bastard who`s at the bad end of it does condemn our friends to pure purgatory. Talk about true heartbreak , talk about a true classic
