I'd rank Them-1...H20 does feature the only occasion at least to My knowledge where someone tries to finish Michael off before He can get up again.Laurie wants to behead Him but is prevented by Her idiot boyfriend.

Haunting at 1666
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2093044/

I knew I had seen this nonsense before and yup it is also known as Knock Knock 2 (2011)
Two twenty something couples are on a DIY tour of haunted Hollywood homes at night to celebrate Halloween, they pay very quick visits to a few well known murder/suicide sites then visit the lesser known house known as no 1666.
The house appears to be locked but when they try the door again it is open, they go inside and the door slams shut on them
Nothing that we haven't seen dozens of times before but the women are pretty enough.

Some nice samurai flicks.

Lone Wolf and Cub: Sword of Vengeance (Japan, 1972)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068815/

Do not miss the TV show.

Kagemusha (Japan/USA, 1980)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080979/

Definitely one of Kurosawa's best works.

Serpico (1973)

Trailer

All his life Frank Serpico (Al Pacino) dreamt of becoming a cop. But soon after his dream comes true, he becomes disillusioned with the situation within the NYPD. Apart from being ridiculed and harassed for his hippie looks and exotic interests, Serpico's determination to be a honest cop is met with overall distrust and hostility by his colleagues. Promises by the higher brass to do something about the rampant corruption within the department are not kept, leaving Serpico to deal with the situation on his own at the risk of losing everything, even his life.

After Serpico, Sidney Lumet would make a couple of films dealing with the scandalous conditions in the New York Police Department, films like Prince of the City, Q&A or Night Falls on Manhattan. But none of them could match the realism of Serpico, a film really the product of its time. The New Hollywood era was the last period in the history of American cinema in which (mainstream) directors enjoyed a level of artistic freedom. After that, films with a social commentary were no longer desirable in the big studios that switched to escapism and kitsch which is obviously more profitable than making films about reality.

Another old favourite of mine from the 1970's

The Bat People (1974)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071198/

A massive 2.3/10 on imdb .... movie snobs

A scientist out in the field studying bats with his wife, on what is also a delayed honeymoon skiing vacation, is bit by one of the blighters after they unwisely detach themselves from a tour group for a little afternoon delight whilst exploring a cave.
They fear he may have caught rabies however the truth is far more sinister

L'Atalante (1934)

Trailer

Juliette (Dita Parlo), a young lady from the French countryside, marries Jean (Jean Dasté), the captain of the canal barge L'Atalante. Trying to escape the numbing village life, Juliette looks forward to seeing new places and and some excitement. But Jean turns out as a jealous bore who is all work and no fun. But life on the ship is only half as boring with Père Jules (Michel Simon), a talented and funny old man and a member of Jean's crew who doesn't refuse the occasional drink.

A beautifully shot early gem of poetic realism and director Jean Vigo's final film. He died soon after this film's release of tuberculosis, aged 29.

Andre The Giant from HBO Pictures.

Chronicles the life and career of the legendary wrestler...a man the doctors didn't believe would live past his 40th birthday. It's frank and often sad, but well done. I remember watching Wrestlemania III when he fought Hogan for the championship. Yeah, it's fake, of course. But even so, I had the feeling that this match was even more fake than normal. I was right. This film explains the sad reason why. Good commentary, interviews and past segments. B+
