I wish I was a damn foreigner (European) as I type this dude. Never thought I would be completely embarrassed by my country. My family has strong Scottish roots; maybe they will take me back?

Being the recipient of a Scottish education when that actually meant something, I'm too polite to comment on someone's spelling. What I was commenting on was the implied meme that the Net is an American invention and milieu. At at time when Mr T trumpets American exceptionalism, it's incumbent on us all to challenge him and his ilk. They are entitled to their opinion but they're wrong.

I grew up watching Star Trek every Sunday morning for well over 10 years of my early life. My church was Star Trek! In Star Trek Earth is pretty much united. I think that is an inevitability. I really didn't know that there were people that were expressly against that inevitability: Trump supporters, fox news watchers.

I mean this is really an issue with them. For me it is evolution. I am pretty sure in one of the star trek series one of the prerequisites for first contact was one government rule.

It's not "The Manchurian Candidate" that Trump reminds me of nowadays, but "Nineteen Eighty-Four" - Orwell would have been both proud and horrified at how the term "Fake News" is now routinely used to describe factual stories, while "Alternative facts" is used to defend false statements.

PS: US president Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been destroyed (again) by someone with a pickaxe, but the REALLY scary sight is the "Trump 2020" sign....

Gene Autry - {my sometimes Hero} - has the most Stars, for Records/Films/TV etc over decades.

And Trump has...had

... a Star for WHAT ?

I notice that they can't raise dosh for his Presidential Portrait in a Red-Based State

At least 3/4 'holocaust-deniers' have tripped onto tickets with Trump's endorsements for the November mid-terms.
