Hello guys. I kindly request your patience since I 'm not an IT guy at all. I downloaded Mozilla v.55 and IHG imagegrabber-1.7.0.4c version. But how do I added then since firefox since doesn't allow me?

As far as I am aware of, ImageHostGrabber (IHG) does no longer work with recent Firefox-Versions.

But, if you try Palemoon as an alternative browser, ImageHostGrabber does work perfectly with it.

with firefox..you can try to force the install signature..

type in about:config in the address bar. then scroll dpwn to xpinstallsignature required and toggle to false

Or, palemoon is IHG friendly from the onset..

They are missing http: at the beginning of the img url:

This seems to be an error at pimpandhost browsers silently correct. Maybe pimpanhost will fix this sooner or later.

I will provide a hostfile entry after breakfast, but feel free to do it if you get to it sooner.

imgding is aso affected.

Update: pimpandhost fixed it, IHG and imgding are working again

For V56+ Mozilla will NO LONGER ALLOW EXTENSIONS! Only their new "web extensions."

In that case you can use V55, or use alternatives such as PaleMoon, cyberfox, pcxfox, SeaMonkey, TorBrowser etc.. See list of supported browsers at our forum.

Of course, when you're using an older version of FF you don't get the more recent security bug fixes, etc.

As solarbear mentioned, you need to set xpinstall.signatures.required to false in about:config.

I switched to Pale Moon the best part of a year or so ago (when the new version of Firefox rendered Firefox unuseable (my shiny new Firefox update couldn't even find Google!)) & tried ImageHostGrabber with it then. I've recently tried a fresh download of IHG again (as I've been looking for a bulk downloader ever since)... it didn't work then, & it doesn't work now. It just returns 'request aborted: image not found' (or 'page not found', or words to that effect) in all cases, irrespective of host etc.

As a result I've abandonned ImageHostGrabber as simply a thing of the past,... good while it lasted.

Are you saying it should still work?

... because I'm still looking for a downloader... if anyone has any ideas?

I recently tried Free Download Manager, which promised much but didn't deliver: again, entirely non-functional as far as I can make out.
