R.I.P. Helen Griffin (1959-2018).
Was a Welsh actress playwright and screenwriter born in Swansea Wales she has appeared regularly in Welsh theatre and television and wrote and starred in the 2005 film Little White Lies. She also appeared in the 2006 Doctor Who episodes Rise of the Cybermen and The Age of Steel. Studied at nursing college with comedian Jo Brand and worked as a psychiatric nurse until 1986 when she became an actress she died age 59.

Sad to hear of the death of Peter Firmin, a man that produced some of the most iconic children's characters on television, from Ivor the Engine to the Clangers at a time when there was more innocence and a simple idea came to life on the small screen.
Re Paddy Feeny I remember listening to the later editions of Top of the Form with its catchy signature tune on the radio. I always thought you needed to be incredibly brainy to answer some of the questions like Ask the Family on BBC1 in the late 70's. Very enjoyable though. |
