I've had far too much of Abbott, enough to last 10 lifetimes. This isn't directed just at him, though he is deserving, definitely.

Still not as bad as these degenerate bastards.

Quote:
IS would have given him a medal. The Burmese woman, named as Laila bint Abdul Muttalib Basim in one report, was dragged through the streets and held down by four policemen, while it took three blows from the executioner's sword to sever her head – and as he hacked away, she used her last breath to scream: "I didn't kill. I didn't kill."

How strange it is, then, that we're at war with IS, but the Saudis are our allies. We don't hear Barack Obama or John Kerry threatening to bomb the Saudis or even rebuking them. That's left to an eminently forgettable spokesperson at the State Department who utters a few words of criticism – you know the drill, always enough to say the US has been critical; but never enough for the Saudis to be seriously offended.

And where is the crusading Tony Abbott when he's needed? There's a man who will go halfway around the world to bray at IS as a death cult, as he did in Baghdad recently. But just a stone's throw to the south of the Iraqi capital is Riyadh – Beheading Central – and Abbott has nothing to say about the royals whose robes never get bloodied despite all the killing, because they've contracted all that nasty stuff out to the Wahhabi clerics – of whom they live in fear.

Default Australia's noo government

Headline: Human Rights Commission should congratulate Scott Morrison: Tony Abbott responds to report on children in immigration detention
"Prime Minister Tony Abbott says the Australian Human Rights Commission ought to be "ashamed of itself" over its children in detention inquiry, which he says is a blatant attack on his government."

This plus todays nonsense about a "jobs holocaust" plus his jawboning about the two suspected terrorists from Sydney lead me to one conclusion.
He is certifiable.
Antisocial Personality Disorder: (DSM-IV-TR)

What is next, a 'shoot to kill' policy when dealing with individuals with mental health issues in public? http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-02-1...-jacks/6082788

Default Business as usual

I found this headline kind of interesting
"Good government, week one: 6 things that went horribly wrong""

Particularly this little snippet
Quote:
The claims to be a government of job creation were damaged as unemployment rose again.
January saw the worst unemployment in 13 years — 6.4 per cent according to the report this week from the Bureau of Statistics, but the Government kept boasting about its job record.
Mr Abbott said in 2014 jobs were produced at three times the rate of the last year of Labor government.
However, the latest figures showed some 800,000 people are out of work and 24,000 jobs disappeared in January.
The whole article linked above can be reduced to these three images from the last week, from the same article.

Perhaps I should join the TA appreciation society?

The local version of this article, syndicated via The Times, ran under the headline: "Abbott a galah, says US politico".

edit: I didn't realise US politicos knew about Galahs?

Last edited by effCup; February 13th, 2015 at 12:49 PM.. Reason: Galahs

...yes but to do it justice you would need two things.

1) a typically aussie understatement. eg. your friend is a "big", "complete" or "steaming pile of" said "shit". However, your enemy is a "little" or "bit of a" said "shit".

2) a typically aussie inflection. eg the letter "u" would be pronounced "ar" as in "car".

Put it all together and you get... "a bit of a carnt".

I prefer "a feckless carnt" but only when I'm trying to be a bit high brow.

Only if you come from outback Queensland and no one understands them. For the rest of us, the 'u' is pronounced 'unt' as in punt; thus the old punchline, 'the girls are on the way..what the hell's a panoe!'

It's also like that pronouncing Can't

And as for can't (carnt)

I reckon palo carnt sleep in a bedroom which may or may not have a snake in it... if he lived with me

Never mind the pink bedding

But then again, If I lived with him, I'd be scared of a snowman

Over here the last month, there's been a huge kerfuffle over the training of greyhounds for racing, using live baiting.

http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/stori...16/4178920.htm

I'm not a dog guy. But apparently, if greyhounds are not trained to be killers. They're pretty placid dogs that stfu and stay out of the way. Low maintenance. That's my kind of dog. Little responsibility required of me, and it's fine.

"There, good dog!"
