I saw a production of Shakespeare's play Measure for Measure in a major theatre in London, about 25 years ago. In the play, there are a twin brother and sister. He was played by a black man, she was played by a white woman; and, to be plain, he was very black, and she was very white.

I have no comment, except: This was very odd.

I watched an episode of https://www.hbo.com/random-acts-of-flyness because they were discussing the 2nd Amendment in this Afro-centric show. Instead of discussing how to arm themselves to prevent the tremendous amount of Black on Black crime, they only centered on Blacks vs the police. They stated that the 2nd Amendment does nothing for Blacks because the police will always have bigger and better guns. Their example was the Move group in Philadelphia - which was kinda strange as their first big gun battle with police - one officer killed - was framed with the argument that they had no operating weapons and the second had over 10,000 rounds fired with the only casualties caused by the resulting fire. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOVE The thought that small groups that fight against law enforcement - like the Branch Davidians - regardless of color - are smashed - didn't enter into the discussion. They didn't even mention Condoleezza Rice's story about her family defending their neighborhood from the Klan with firearms. A really deficient discussion about Blacks with firearms.

The show had some segment called something like "the 473rd reason for Blacks to have fear that they shouldn't have to worry about" - which was about some Black guy getting into the wrong car and having the owner call the cops on him. This isn't just a problem for Blacks. My brother (an Asian) was getting into his car (not the wrong one) and a number of people came running out of the nearby apartment complex with bats and guns ordering him to get out of the car. He just raised his arms - he thought he was being robbed by this crowd of white people - who suddenly got very embarrassed when they realized that the car he was entering wasn't their nearby car.

Another segment - which I guess was suppose to be funny - regarding a new computer app that helped Black people locate White people who owned their ancestors as slaves - to aid in getting monetary compensation - struck a sour note with me. No mention was made of the role of Black African Kingdoms in providing a major portion of the "stock" in the slave trade. Just White people realizing that they were being targeting by specific Blacks - and their subsequent flight from these pursuing Blacks - was the humor. Ha Ha - ?

The Black audience for HBO must be quite large as I can't imagine most other people watching it. Kinda like the Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore - another Afro-centric show on Comedy Central - didn't last long as it didn't get the audience it was hoping for.

I do believe this is the best time I have ever seen for Black actors in my life as the Black viewpoint seems to be at least mentioned in most shows. The Hispanic or Asian viewpoint seemed relegated to specific Hispanic or Asian channels, not the mass viewer audience of the main channels. I just don't see this specific show lasting very long with its highly biased and - to me - inaccurate politically correct(?) statements.

Boy, that's weird. Imagine some random black person showing up on your doorstep and saying, "your great-great-great granddaddy owned my great-great-great-granddaddy, give me some money, you slaving mother****er."

Well, at least I'm safe from that. My family were all northerners, and never had anything to do with slavery.

The opponents of his rather obviously right statement seem to be demanding even more government money poured on them to "solve" the crazy mainly minority on minority violence in their neighborhoods.

I do feel sorry for the innocents in their areas that get hurt during the mainly criminal on criminal violence, but if they won't "narc" on the perps, fuck them.
