Grifters, the Striker and the smallest one Boxer. With the Chopper you also had its sister the Tomahawk(My sister had that) and the smallest one the Chipper(I had that)

I can now imagine Boris chortling "Totty on choppers! Gosh! I bet she's a grafter!". I wish I hadn't thought of that!

Thinking about it, I wonder if Boris is a VEF member. Perhaps we should search for posts containing Boris-like terms, e.g. totty and Latin . . .

A very fair point: I withdraw my suggestion. In any case, I'm sure Boris wouldn't bother to conceal himself. Here he is from 2012, while hosting the London Olympics as mayor "the magnificent" experience of watching "semi-naked women playing beach volleyball ... glistening like wet otters."

"The Grifters" was the name of a book by Jim Thompson from 1963. It's an entertaining novel about those who attempt to extort money by illegal, but non-violent, means. Also, the British TV series "Hustle" was about a team of tricksters and con-men/women who frequently referred to themselves as "grifters".

"Good honest graft" is a much-uttered phrase in English and distinguishes this term as an entirely admirable approach to earning money by hard work.

So the interpretation of the word "graft" as obtaining money by unfair means is categorically wrong. Someone untutored has confused it with the word "grift".

What a difference a vowel makes.

Graft is an American term for political corruption,The term has its origins in the medical procedure whereby tissue is removed from one location and attached to another for which it was not originally intended. Similarly, political graft occurs when funds intended for public projects are intentionally misdirected in order to maximize the benefits to private interests. via Wikipedia
