Denver found the Colts-Bills game tape to be useless as the Colts' white unis blended into the snow...Lions keep their postseason hopes alive...Chargers want AFC West crown...Saints also looking for division title...is Eli's time in the Big Apple coming to a close?...Doug Marrone quit on the Bills. Now why would he have done that?...hard times for the football faithful on the the North Shore...going with my heart, the 'Fins front seven is nasty...can Aaron Rodgers work his magic?...Vikings at home...I literaly flipped a coin on this one...Rams avenge earlier loss...Titans still in playoff hunt...can Steelers hand Patriots a second straight loss?...this game looked bright in April, a dull glow now...defending NFC Champs need win to keep playing in January.

Well the Niners and likely the Raiders will be there too. 20 teams don't make it and eight might be better off not making it. They really don't have much of a shot.

We were reminded today that the Chargers only 2 losses in the 9 previous games came against the two teams that seem to be playoff teams. It was overlooked that the Chargers had not been facing tough opposition during their run. Beating KC in KC is never easy. And we were once again reminded that you can take the Chargers out of San Diego, but you have a whole lot of the same guys wearing the lightning bolts. (Oakland Raider fans kept falling prey to the same misplaced optimism. The Raiders are still masters of committing silly fouls at the worst moments.)

Maybe Mark Davis and Spanos can meet over drinks in Vegas in a couple of weeks and tell each other how smart they are.

Note to Jack Del Rio and Reggie McKenzie - players that the current edition of the 49ers are cutting loose are not very good.

Actually, LaughingBoy whiffed on Rams/Seahawks, but he is 14-1 right now, and since everyone took Atlanta tomorrow night, he is our winner. You and I are 13-2, cardinalcary and warlord are 12-3, tigerkat (I simply cannot spell that word) is 9-6 and Victor is 8-7.
