"I am not, never have been, and never will be a cheat" said Mr Vardy last week. A career in politics beckons.

Well, I'm deff no 'Mr Nice' supporter, but I will admit he surprised me with England.
Although a friendly, played with 3 centre-backs against the World Champions.
The first half astounded me, England were quick in the challenge, quick onto accurate passes and blooming quick everywhere.
How different if the 'Rooney-Generation' had played. With constant back and sideways passing, walking pace football seeking a set-piece opportunity from which to score.

Good points {imo}
Speed, accuracy and constant threats.
Hart has stopped his body-building and/or steroids and looks thinner and more supple.
No old guard.
Naff points {imo}
Subsitutions. 2 best threats/players off ~ Llalana/Alli~ 2 ex-U21 favourites on ~ Redmond /Lingard.. immediately...
Germany score.
Podolski's goal was truly beautiful.
From the lengthwise angle, Cahill didn't flinch, the ball was about 10/15 feet away from him, and bending.Cahill did half turn, but it was nowhere near enough to him to physically block.
The side-on camera angle did look as if he avoided contact, and he got fair abuse in the pub, but in replays you saw the distance between him and the ball...no one in the pub apologised

A good hour for England, until the Subs, which heped Germany's half-time wake up lecture bear fruit.

Pleased with that, and I for one do NOT want the old guard back, even if they bring their own zimmer frames.

It was a pretty drab affair which is hardly surprising considering Germany don't take friendlies that seriously and both teams have WC qualifying games coming up. Saying that, while England came out the blocks well, the passing was some of the worst I have ever seen from a German team. The amount of woeful passes was nothing short of criminal. That seemed to happen to England in the second half. I think both teams had good shouts for penalties and England were unlucky not to score. Weigl's tackle on Dier could have also seen him get a red card. It was a shocking lunge. I think Dele Alli is a great player but if he does have a weakness it is in front of goal. I remember him missing an absolute sitter in the Berlin game a year ago and while it was a good save from ter Stegen last night, I feel the shot was at a good height to save and almost right at him. Pity that those moronic England fans continue with the booing of the German anthem and the WWII chants. Nice to see that the England F.A. condemned the actions and are looking into it.

Germany never made it out of neutral in the first half and just about made second gear in the second. For all England's huffing and puffing the back three were never put under any pressure yet we still managed to concede a goal while failing to score ourselves. The game brought back painful memories of 2014 WC & the last Euros, the Russia game in particular, it might be new kids on the block, but its the same old story.

I completely agree. The war was no laughing matter. Don't mention the war. I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it.

Those offending chants;

"We're not very good, we're not very good.
"We're shit, and we know we are."
"Gareth Southgate's blue and blue army."
"There's only one Roy Hodgson."
"You're going home in an expensive reliable car."

No cheats in football just really bad actors

Luckily the officials are sponsored by three blind mice inc.

What was it shrek said awhile back before another English tournament flop

We need to become more streetwise

Streetwise has only ever meant one thing and its not high ethical standards
but their are occasions where you can be smart rather than a foolish hero who flops.

As Ya Ya Toure said about Raheem Sterling choosing to stay up when pushed in the box

"He's too honest, he wants to be proper in these sort of games. If the lad's like that, you can't tell him he's wrong, if that's what he tries to do. When you see it, he was so close and after that Walker pushes him in the back.

The England forward was pushed by Spurs defender Kyle Walker as he raced in on goal in the second half of Saturday's clash -- but tried to stay on his feet and fluffed his shot straight at Hugo Lloris.

"Rooney for England" was another chant heard the other night. People can be so cruel.

Luxembourg tonight.
Deschamps chose 40 per cent changes comparing to Euro 2016.
0 5 if we score quick, or an attack/defence match and 0 1 at last.
