Explosion of Fake Boobs

I need input from porn historians here. What is the reason of apparent abundance of fake breasts in movies produced from 1988 onwards? The most common elements in majority of these movies seem to be overly large fake boobs and ugly tan-lines.

I've always assumed that porn producers thought that men want big tits so started using the girls with the biggest tits they could find, whether they were real or not.

Don't agree that tan lines are ugly. I've always liked them. They show you're seeing something that's normally kept covered (at least that's how i've always seen them).

Tan lines are generally OK, but when the skin looks almost a baked colour then it looks horrible. Fake tits, this I can understand to a certain extent, simply that East Asian women see it as more Westernised, more acceptable thing to do. The Thai are well known for this. I have experienced bad & good implants & I urge others to follow.....

I've seen this subject come up in many different settings and it seems certain to me that the large majority of porn fans, surfers and wankers prefer real tits by a long distance.
I wish the same could be said of natural bushy or tastefully trimmed pussies but that's another story. Many younger viewers even find it 'scary' or distasteful.

A well-trimmed bush can make a woman look more attractive as it seems to hint sexual maturity and readiness. Clean shaven vaginas can be a turn off in many cases.

It was (maybe still is) perceived that big breasts sell. BTW, with over 50,000 breast augmentations per year in the UK alone it seems that big tits are seen as the way to go by many!

Really badly done surgery, for example healed scars that are plainly visible is a turn off.

I had the good fortune to be involved in the industry in the early to mid 90's and met several women of whom you speak (as well as natural boobed women, which I prefer).

The industry was looking for something different. There had been a few well developed young ladies but not enough for demand. Since many model sets were sold in the States to magazines such as Gent and Juggs, it made sense to use their models. These were usually 'Dancers'. Draw your own conclusions from that. Since topless bathing isn't allowed in the States, they had tan lines. In a Club, you're not so much interested in the genuiness of dancers boobs after several drinks with the guys.

This spilled back into the main stream here and the demand grew along with the boobs. In the end, they were clearly fake and hung on a door when not in use. I'm sure you know the models.

I personnally dont agree at all with the first post. Big boobs are great female symbols, since smaller ones tend to make the girl look like a man. In my taste the bigger the better, only the shape could be a turnoff (Rihannon...).

For the tanlines, and according to what has been said, the late 80s/late 90s era works well to me, since the line follows the hips and tends to make the legs longer... . Not like the crappy straight line unfortunately up to date (as in the 70s).
I need by the way some information: wich word is used to speak about a V shaped string, and about the opposite: the straight flat underpant? (english is not my born language)

The trimmed bush is a considerable, much scientific concept: A lady with tight hips will need a very thin strip to make her hips seem larger, whereas a large hips woman can have larger trimmed or bald pussy.
