Default Problem with Opera not loading Adobe Flash Player

Hi there.
Does anyone use Opera as their browser. Have you noticed that Adobe Flash player isn't working, whether you have downloaded the latest version or not? I have done that and done just about everything I have seen to correct it online from website 'genuises' but all have failed. Does anyone have anything new I could try. I have so far:
1) Gone through the Settings menu and done what it said to do online.

2) Done opera://plugins and enabled what I need again suggested by online geeks

3) Started/Re-started browser.
4) Enabled/Disabled and re-enabled(as directed) by online 'experts'
5) Shouted at computer-to no avail.
My system still runs Windows XP and as far as I know I have enough memory. I have since yesterday deleted Firefox(as there were too many crashes and reboots occuring) and Opera is now my default browser. I also downloaded something else called 'FlashPeak SlimJet browser which is supposed to be fast-in somethings yes, others not so you'd notice. HELP!!!

I've been using Opera since 5.0
I'm using it now. I am currently at work & running it from a flash drive. The OS on this machine is XP. After reading your post I went to France24 & brought up their live feed - which I know is flash dependent. I had no problem with it.
HOWEVER:
I am using a Pre-Chrome version. (12.17 build). This version uses the original Opera Presto engine. All Opera builds 13.0 & up are based on Chrome. If you are using a 'chrome build' you might want to look up how to install flash in chrome - like Opera, Chrome has had its issues with Flash.

It refuses to load anything that uses flash player and no matter what I did following instructions via a number of different websites that gave advice and information, it hasn't solved the problem. It is just really playing a game(Pool) via miniclip.com which I have done for years. Thinking about it there was an Adobe download done a few days ago which I think may have fkd up, although I did a system restore but that didn't solve it either.

It is possible the Adobe download, re-wrote one or more of the dll's that Opera needs. I'll do some research and let you know what I come up with.

I came to that conclusion a few hours after I posted the above, that somehow the Adobe download had mucked up the whole thing, it's not just the fact I can't play the game I like, but now NOTHING streamed plays and that can be ultra-annoying. Thanks mate.

I bet my money on this: compatibility issues with Windows XP. Firefox, and any other web browser, could be problematic on some set-ups, but it does not cause such thing as "too many crashes and reboots" - not Firefox, not Opera, not Chrome. Problems that make you uninstall such browser(s)? Yes, but not crashes and reboots.

I've got Opera and Firefox on Linux and they work fine, but both browsers are on their latest version on a fully up-to-date operating system; only old thing here is my computer, a single-core AMD Sempron that I think it's 6 years-old.

Software developers are using Windows 7 and onwards as their base, so although in some cases their programs work on older operating systems (don't forget XP is 15 years-old), what they use as a base to build their software has significantly changed since the XP days, now that there's Windows 7, 8 and 10 out there.

Did you try older versions of those browsers? If you're wishing to stay on XP (which is OK to me, as long as you're aware of the risks) you should go a few steps back on some cases, like this one.

I hope you can work it out and find a solution. These kind of problems are seriously annoying.

I think it all started with a latest Adobe update that came through. Normally, I don't have a problem with this, except sometimes it fails and I have try again, but this time it appears that it did something which prevented any streaming video or even a game I like playing via miniclip.com was stopped from loading. I did do a System Restore back to a time when I knew it was still good but that didn't solve the problem. At the moment it is Opera not allowing Adobe stuff to load and luckily I am still able to stream stuff etc via Firefox and a new browser Slimjet(when it doesn't suddenly crash) I know the pitfalls of staying with XP but I am damned if I am going to shell out more money for another new computer - did that two years ago with a Windows 8.1 laptop. I like the keyboard on a pc, I am used to it rather than the one on a laptop. Hey, ho and on we go, one day we might find a solution.
