Rapid(account)share test...
I've had this idea of creating a free R/S account and share it with others to bypass the 1gb per day limitation. The goal of this test is simple: To see how long it takes until the Rapidcompany deletes the account.
If you want to participate in this test, login with username/password: brendel747@gmail.com / brendel474 Then download the 2 files from Selen and post if it worked. For example: If everyone were able to download at max speed, then you could consider sharing an entire free account with just 1 file, instead of RS-links.

It worked for me too, the speed it is lower than if I download with my premium rs but it is the best than nothing, because now I have premium for nothing...

Suffer no more, solution ahead! Unlimited download cap per day, at max speed, as many downloads as you want? Here's what to do: 1) I assume you already have a rapidshare account with all your files. 2) You need to create a second account for free, to use as guest. 3) The main account invites the second account to participate in group contacts. 4) Second account (guest) accepts the invitation. 5) If your files aren't in a subfolder yet (instead in the root) you need to move them. Don't worry, the links won't change, this is necessary because only entire subfolders can be given download permissions. Skip this step if you don't have any files to share in the root-directory. 6) Change the permission of the entire subfolder. Select the 2nd guest account and give it 2 permissions to "see" and to "download". 7) Make sure the guest account doesnt have write or delete rights by doublechecking everything twice! et voilá... now your guest account can be shared, but it's users can only download, but not delete. (And since he's also a totally different user than you, you can't be held responsible for his actions lol ) Quote:

lol. nice workaround.
but i guess, one day RS removes this "security hole" by setting a limit and the contact can download as many files - but each file just one or two times.

Recently i came across 1 filehost (filefactory) that was being IP vigilant for logins and suspending accounts accordingly so advertising your user id & password in the public domain even if for a 2nd account will eventually get noticed.
The only long term solution is to be added as a contact/friend No other way is going to last the distance I'd suggest making some sort of inventory thread where people can show what they have in their collections and rather than re-upping it all simply fill requests or add people to their account. The simple facts are it took years of uploading to get the amount of content that is linked to RS on VEF so any workable solution isnt going to happen quickly. When one filehost begins the rest usually follow File factory Publicly shared accounts will be blocked Last Updated: Dec 02, 2012 03:19PM EST Due to continued abuse, we have now implemented more thorough detection of shared accounts. If you receive the following message: HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden You have attempted to download this file using a shared account. Account sharing is a direct violation of our Terms of Service. Then your account has been blocked from downloading due to the public sharing of your account details or cookies. FileFactory has a zero tolerance policy towards account sharing and affected accounts will be terminated. Refunds are not allowed. NOTE: this only applies to a limited number of accounts where login details are being shared publicly.
