Default Viewing Jpegs - technical

Hi All

I can open jpegs using the standard windows utility which I can shrink to an suitable size on my screen. However if I then opt for the slideshow the screen maximizes which is not always appropriate

Ideally I would like a slideshow effect in a small screen without having to constantly click a button to advance to the next jpeg. Does anyone know how this can be achieved in windows xp?

Thanks

NS

Try IrfanView. It runs on Windows XP and many other versions. It has a slideshow feature that you can find under the File Menu, with many options, including to change picture after a predefined time or a button press, and to play in full-screen or a window. (It does many other things too. Check out the Thumbnails and Batch options above and below that one.) It's one of the very best free programs about.

Its very simplistic but a right click on your desktop/screensaver/my picture show

you can select any folder you wish to view and it will run everything in that folder and show the pics as to how you want to see them

It will stretch smaller pictures, show or hide titles, allow you to scroll to the next picture

Brilliant little bit of freeware. It has been my default image viewer since my very first PC and is amazingly capable.
