The Radio 2 DJ has been left devastated after the body of the 40-year-old was found at his flat in Putney, South London, on Thursday evening.
Billy was a cameraman on the BBC show Antiques Roadshow, and the couple met through friends at the BBC; the pair had started dating earlier in 2017.
‘She is completely and utterly devastated,’ a source close to Zoe said.
‘Billy had made her happy again after the most horrendous year when her marriage broke down. This was completely out of the blue. She had no feeling that this was coming and is in total shock.’

Don Gordon of Bullitt fame has passed away.

Don Gordon, the busy character who appeared opposite his buddy Steve McQueen in Bullitt, Papillon and The Towering Inferno, has died. He was 90.


A specialist in playing tough, hard-nosed characters, Gordon died April 24 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, his wife of 37 years, Denise, told The Hollywood Reporter. He was diagnosed with cancer just five days before his death, she said.

An 85-year-old Nepali man who was attempting to become the oldest person to climb Mount Everest has died at base camp, Nepali officials say. Min Bahadur Sherchan, a former British Gurkha soldier, was trying to reclaim the record from Japan's Yuichiro Miura, who climbed Everest aged 80 in 2013. Mr Miura broke Mr Sherchan's own record set as a 76-year-old in 2008. It comes a week after Swiss climber Ueli Steck, 40, died as he prepared to climb the mountain. Mr Sherchan died at base camp on Saturday afternoon, officials at Nepal's tourism office said. Doctors suspect he suffered a heart attack, the Kathmandu Post newspaper reported. His long rivalry with Mr Miura - a year his junior - included a 2013 attempt to reclaim the record aged 81 that had to be abandoned after late spring weather conditions worsened. In 2015 he was on his way to base camp for another attempt when a devastating earthquake struck the country, forcing him and many other climbers to abandon their plans. "I want to climb Everest to set a record so that it will inspire people to dream big," he told German news agency DPA in March. "This will instil a sense of pride among old people like me."

Quinn O'Hara, the Scottish-born sex kitten who starred in the 1960s movies A Swingin' Summer and The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini, has died. She was 76.
O’Hara had "multiple medical issues" and died Friday at her home in Los Angeles, her friend, Joel B. Gibson, told The Hollywood Reporter.
