Magazine covers: eyes on stalks - Page 4

Three quite different ones today - what they have in common is that I bought all these magazines, and mainly because of the allure of the cover.

I was never much of a Mayfair man, myself. In fact, I think I only ever bought the old-style "classic" Mayfair once, and even when it was taken over by PRP, I only ever bought a handful, so it is surprising that I bought these two in 1993, a time when I was almost exclusively a Club buyer:
The first one shows this delightfully tempting shot of Louise Payne. I have always been a sucker for "bride" shots, and Louise's white underwear and exposed arse was just too much to resist - add to that her sexy, over the shoulder "come hither (or should that be cum hither?) look, and there was no way I could avoid buying this one.

The next features blonde Rachel. Now, as well as not really being a Mayfair man, I'm not all that fussed about big tits, (I tend to live by the old dictum of "what doesn't fit in your mouth, or the palm of your hand is wasted anyway"), but her pretty - no, her beautiful face - and the way she tenderly clasps her breasts made the choice of buying this mag or not a no-brainer.

Finally, back to another Escort cover: Escort was always a bit of a "bottom feeder" as far as the class rating of magazines went, but in the 80s and the first half of the 90s I loved it, and bought quite a few copies. The girls might not always have been a gorgeous as the fillies in Club, but they always looked fun, and the sort who would give you a great, no holds barred shag. Young Katie here graced the cover in Volume 14 Number 1, and her delightfully-presented rear (with a nice gusset shot for Sir Sharky) had me grabbing and handing over my £1.65 back in January 1994.

Three fine covers there Girlfan, and thanks for the gusset shot! Escort was, as you say, a bottom feeder - though not as much as the "chav mag", Razzle - and while I would never have bought a copy, a cover like this would have made me look at least twice.

I remember that Rachel ter Horst cover... I think I actually bought this mag too, for the very same reasons as you did. Rachel was pretty popular on Page Three and was absolutely lovely, and while in the main I wasn't massively drawn by big tits those pretty baby blue eyes always did the trick.

Yes, a highly erotic cover! One of her first. There are not too many photos of Rachel playing with her boobs this way. Although the areolas have been airbrushed out. This version comes at least close to the original:

I was about 18 and saw this cover on the top shelf. The model looked just like a girl I knew and fancied something rotten so I bought the mag. Unfortunately she wasn't inside but I still have this mag to this day.
Unbelievably I have just had dinner with the girl that I fancied all those years ago and must admit that I couldn't help but remember that cover as we chatted tonight.

31/11, Nov 1996: It might well have been Claudia in her red undies that first caught my eye,
but when I saw the smaller pic of Claire in her nurse's uniform, there was no way I was leaving that newsagents without a copy, and I'm pretty sure I was at home and producing a very healthy sperm sample for Nurse Claire within the hour...

32/2 Feb 1997:- As I said, Mayfair did a series of these shoots with Claire, and featured one every month over the winter of 1996/7, and this was another favourite (and given his comments about Louise Payne's 'bride' cover shot from 1993 a few posts back, I suspect it might hit a spot for Girlfan as well). To be honest, as nice as Tina looks as the cover girl, by this stage, when I scanned the top shelf, I suspect I was looking for the side pic of Claire more than the main cover pic, and even though the pic isn't remotely revealing, the sight of Claire in a wedding dress was irresistible- the shoot itself was an absolute classic, which has inspired many a good wank over the years

To be honest, I'm surprised that they never seem to have featured Claire as their main covergirl during that period- the shot of her on 31/11 dressed up as a nurse and flashing her undies and stockingtops would have made a cracking main cover pic in it's own right, which I'm sure would have had plenty of guys reaching for the top shelf to buy a copy...

I was 14 and wandering through the town centre when I saw this on the top shelf of a newsagent.

I was completely dumbstruck and mesmerised, but the magazine was out of reach, in every sense.

This image was seared into my brain, where it remained for decades as the ultimate, unattainable erotic image. In my mind, it acquired mythic status as it seemed almost certain that I would never be able to track it down.

Even after the advent of the internet, I still struggled in vain to find my Holy Grail of horniness. Was it Men Only? Knave? Penthouse? All I could remember was that picture. I spent many a fruitless hour scouring this fine forum, but to no avail.

Eventually, I found it on Creamcheese. O happy day. It was even more intensely arousing than I remembered it.

Couldn't agree more.

I too loved Miss Cass, and am setting about re-creating a new mini collection of Mayfair where she featured as the regular girl. The magazine with her in the nurse's uniform is one of my favourites, and although I bought it for the Claudia cover (and photoshoot) that set is really memorable.

I liked that spell when they did the mini gallery on the cover... You could then see what the content was without having to leaf through the magazine - a boon in those newsagents with big signs saying "no browsing".
