Well we have two semi final play offs and two finals to wait for, with both the Pro12 and Premiership to be decided, pure money of course, as far as I am concerned the league table should be the decider! But I for one, will not be betting on the Premiership, the play offs are going to be very hard to call! Exeter, a nothing side a few years ago, plugging away in the Championship, wining promotion against the odds in the play off, and a few years later, established and feared in the top flight. Saracens, off the back of being European Champions again, call that! Wasps and Leicester, God knows!
The Pro 12 is easier to call, the two Irish sides for my money, Ospreys are having problems, to many players concerned for their future I think, and it will of course be a sad day for the boy, his last game for the club, which has taken him very much to heart, both on and off the pitch, great supporters and great management, the chairman arranged a private plane to get him back from Ireland for the birth of his son! Great touch! So a couple of weeks of good domestic club Rugby ahead! On a different point, might it be a good idea this year to stick to the Rugby Union thread, rather than change it to six nations? Just a thought! |

WHAT HAPPENED!
Fantastic pair of finals! Superb battle between Wasps and Exeter, always close games, but for crying out loud that was phenomenal! The worst aspect was the appalling standard of JP Doyle, I would go as far as to say he was blatantly biased towards Wasps, he warned them for time wasting then spoke to them again, but still refused to do anything about it! He allowed play to continue when Wasps were way offside, to the Wasps advantage! He ignored blocking, forward passes and the odd knock on. AWFUL! That said what a match! Two great teams, two squads giving it their all, well worth the exorbitant admission price! The Pro12! GOD! Family interests died a week ago, with the surrender of Ospreys to Munster, and to be frank, I thought the Scarlets would go the same way! They thought differently! They actually gave Munster a lesson in Rugby, unbelievable! What they did wrong was to settle for the half time score and not continue to play, they should have, although Munster did not look like scoring until the end, when it became sevens! Two fantastic games! Only needs Cornwall to beat Lancashire today, for my cup to fully run over! |
