Absolute shit day at work.. get into the car, start it for the ride home, and the first thing I hear (for what seems like the millionth time)-- Hotel California by the always-overrated Eagles.

I hit the power button as fast as I could and drove the 50 minute commute in silence.

They are liked by too many people, played all the time and I can't stand nearly all of their stuff. I hate their whole ambience and outlook emanating out from Freddie Mecury.
I do like one of Queen's songs but it's mostly to do with the memory I associate it with - Who Wants to Live Forever. I saw Highlander as a kid with my grandmother in the city on a massive cinema screen and absolutely loved the experience so the song goes with it.

I also detest Rolling Stones for the record.

Unless they`re female ones with plenty of T&A

Yet they don't come more mundanely manufactured than One Direction.
Unfortunately and despite deftly avoiding their "Muzak" for the last few years. I've still had to occasionally hear and read how charismatic their lead "Singer" supposedly is.

Then even more unfortunately I stumbled across him being sort of interviewed. Hmmm interviewed ?. Really the questions were of a "And how brilliant do you think is your brilliant solo album ?" type guff.

How did this charismatic chap respond

With all the wit , sense and intelligence of an overly salted garden slug.

Oh well.
At least he`s on an equal mentality par in that respect with his target audience then
