Also, though, John Derek never really tried to convince people that Bo was a good actress. Pia then got rushed into starring in The Lonely Lady, when at best she was maybe ready for some small supporting roles. One lousy movie and one lousy performance later, and people had completely turned against Ms. Zadora.

If all of this sounds hostile, I assure you it isn't. None of it was really Pia Zadora's fault. She simply wasn't cut out for acting, and like many a beautiful woman who met a rich man, she got shots at stardom that she didn't merit. Once she gave up on acting (or rather, couldn't get hired, anywhere) and stopped trying to be a pop star, she eventually found her true calling. She actually had quite a talent for singing big band/old pop standards, and her work in this area probably would have receive much more positive critical attention, if her name hadn't become such a joke in both the movie and music industries.

HOWEVER... this was not meant to be a "commentary-only" posting. Reading through the posts in this thread, I noticed a lot of complaining about Ms. Zadora's nude scenes not being available. Having had this stuff in my collection for quite a while, I thought I'd contribute this. It's a compilation of her nudity from The Lonely Lady and Butterfly, all in one video.
