It's Memorial Day weekend in the U.S. Memorial Day is a national holiday when we in America mourn and honor all the men and women who died in all the wars fought on or off American soil. Many non-Americans don't realize that the costliest (in terms of people killed) war in America was the U.S Civil War fought between 1861 and 1865. Over 600,000 American soldiers and civilians died in those 4 years more than all the other wars Americans have fought in combined.
