The host file thing is just getting so difficult to keep up with. Some of these picture hosts seem to be set up not as a means to share pictures but simply as a means of generating ad revenue and spreading malware. I saw a host called ******* that is becoming popular on another forum site. Of course, being new there is no entry in the current IHG host file. Clicking on the individual pictures sets of Malware Bytes big time. Bulk Image Downloader stumbles on it, too. I'll have to admit that my skill set regarding modifying host files manually is little more than cutting and pasting from other hot file entries and hoping for the best, which did work for a while but not much anymore.

Are you asking for help with that host? I can't promise anything but could perhaps take a look, except that you haven't posted/linked any examples, so... The other, possibly better option is to post a request for a new host on the IHG website. Several of the folks there are far more skilled than me. But a request there would similarly require some examples to examine/test--actually, they have a whole stack of required info. which one enters via a form. |

I checked my host file editor, and my hostfile (the latest one) doesn't have pixhost.to. Instead, it has pixhost.org. It is as follows:
Host label: pixhost.org URL pattern: ^https?:\/\/([^/]+\.)?pixhost\.org\/show\/.+$ Search pattern: Code:
function(pageData, pageUrl) { var retVal = {imgUrl: null, fileName: null, status: "ABORT"}; // Search for <img ... id="image" ... /> var iTag = (pageData.match(/<img\b[^>]*?\bid\s*=\s*('|")image\1[^>]*?>/i)||[])[0]; if (iTag) { var iUrl = (iTag.match(/\bsrc\s*=\s*('|")(.*?)\1/i)||[])[2]; if (iUrl) { retVal.imgUrl = iUrl; retVal.status = "OK"; // Get original filename from url var iName = (iUrl.match(/\/([^/]*)$/)||[])[1]; // get part after last slash iName = iName.replace(/^\d*_/, ""); // remove leading digits if (iName) { // exists and is not empty retVal.fileName = iName; } } } return retVal; } Quote:

like this: before: URL Pattern: ^https?:\/\/([^/]+\.)?pixhost\.(org|to)\/show\/.+$ after: URL Pattern: ^https?:\/\/([^/]+\.)?pixhost\.to\/show\/.+$

But what if some links still have the .org address? Isn't it safer to have the option to download both?
