Rapidgator problem

Rapidgator poops out everytime before completion. So try again and again...same difference.
Rapid my arse -YGTBK.

I've just been told elsewhere that rapidgator no longer allows over 500mb downloads for free users is this true and, if it is, shouldn't it now be banned?

Not that I know of...... I just tried a 1.4 gb link elsewhere and I got the countdown after clicking the slow download button.

RG has always used bad means not to accept free downloaders. Everyone knows that. They've used very slow d/l speeds, to cutting you off in mid-d/l, to sending you back to start screens after you've waited 180 seconds

In the last 3 months or so they started to look more reliable and gave an acceptable free service

But in the last 2 weeks they're back to their old tricks, this time with a new captcha. It starts with this:




When you click, you get this, which gets you precisely nowhere:



Hard to think of a reputable poster who uses this host

Crapgator is taking me through constant loops without letting me download. I'm using windows 7 with chrome, uBlock Origin. Any advice ?

Thats what usually occurs when they have servers with too much demand on them

Conspiracy theorists think they do it deliberately to protect profits / encourage free downloaders to buy premium memberships - their history says most likely true

Other inaccessible hosts tend to give you a message saying - come back later

The only other thing that i've encountered with them was script blockers like no script needed to be turned off to get everything on their download pages working properly

As every link is potentially on a different server the best starting point

1. choose a link and edit it into your post so others can test it

2. maybe see if the same file is on our sister forum planetsuzy org

make use of their re-up to a host of your choice - Up/download Host Requests
- found in their general discussion sub forum File & Image Hosts

3. try a download manager


PS just started a RG download - TV show - 624mb
using chrome with adblock and no script still running (allowing addthis scripts x2) on W7 pro
in Australia

The only screen that seemed strange was the last one which seemed to require a code



I hit send with no code entered and up popped the link plodding along 80-120kb
as an anonymous downloader

PPS download finished successfully

I think a lot of the time its just timing
- the smaller the file the more likelyhood of success in my experience

I've been getting the "endless cycle" with Rapidgator for at least a week. I'm not a member, never have been, but normally the process is to click on "Slow Speed" and wait 30 seconds for the captcha, but now I keep getting the "Slow Speed" button repeatedly with no captcha. I've tried with a different browser with the same result.

Try a downloader like jdownloader 2. It's not perfect but usually, you can bypass the typical browser problems.

Haven't downloaded from RG for a while, but always got it to work eventually,
with a bit of tinkering.
