It rained like crazy last night, but this morning I saw a wonderful rainbow in the lower western sky. Rainbows don't appear with every rain storm. The conditions have to be just right. Just the right amount of humidity, and sunlight, and cloud conditions.

All across America it is the 243rd anniversary of Independence Day the day July 4th when the original 13 colonies declared their independence from the tyrannical British Empire. Although at the time the fledging colonies were actually losing the war then, they allied with France which supplied men, guns, supplies and most important war ships which eventually turned the tide which led to the American victory in 1781.
