Really, now. The biggest reason that porn is littered with well-hung dudes is 'cause it works better from a filming standpoint. Yeah, dudes are obsessed with size and all that, but it's a matter of filming, really. Trust me, Hollywood would be much more pleased if Tom Cruise was 6'4" than the tiny little midget he happens to be. It's why there's so many shitty actors out there that keep getting roles; they look good on film 'cause they're larger than life and look good on film. I've noticed over the years that a lot of the Golden Age or Porn guys were, for the most part, average sized. Randy West, Eric Edwards, Paul Thomas, Joey Silvera, Jamie Gillis, etc etc, were all average or about average in size. In that era only a few guys stand out as really hung. John Holmes and Ron Jeremy are the only two I can think of that were really packing. I think the view by the film makers that a male porn star has to be 8 inches or more comes along later.

The only real advantage I can see, from a film makers stand point, is that having a longer dick allows them to get you into positions that otherwise you wouldn't be able to, and be able to get a camera in to film it, and his dick still be inside her.

In the past, porn was way more taboo than today, and borderline illegal in many places. This meant that fewer people considered performing in a porn movie. With a more limited talent pool, producers had to concentrate on the number one requirement: could a guy get it up and off in front of a room full of strangers.
