Not long ago, I posted a magazine spread of Carol Cummings and Tom Byron from Hot Tails, October 1990, here:

I neglected to state at the time that the mag is or was an offshoot of Swank magazine, but I did mention that I thought I had a copy of a European magazine with more pics, and hardcore ones, from the same photo shoot. I've now found the Euromag, plus three more sources, and I've tried to put them all together in a sequence which has a few lumps, but almost (damned shoes!) makes sense.











I also turned up my copy of the January 1990 Cheeks, which has the same spread that was in Hot Tails -- which isn't too surprising, since both are offshoots of Swank magazine -- but also had an extra pic of Carol on the contents page. In addition, I unearthed my copy of a magazine with the clunky title of 200 Uncensored Sex Acts (May 1990, and another Swank offshoot), which I had acquired because Carol (sitting on an unidentified male torso -- obviously Byron's) was on the cover (though the lady did not appear inside the magazine, alas), and a Swank (March 1993) with a full page phone-sex ad with a large pic of Carol obviously from the same shoot. So, I've combined them all.

Trying for continuity, I had to place one pic out of what seemed like the obvious sequence because it would have made Byron apparently take off his bathrobe, then put it on again, then shed it again. A bigger problem, with no obvious cure, was that Carol was wearing two different pairs of shoes, one white (actually, they look like high-heeled house slippers) and the other red (the red high-heeled shoes are in the hardcore pics). If everyone can overlook the varicolored footwear, the two contradictory storylines told in the captions, and all the overblown type on the phone ad and magazine cover (not to mention a grammatical error and a price sticker that won't come off), here's a long sequence of pics of Carol (blonde) in action.

Later: Added a small inset pic from the front cover of another issue of 200 Uncensored Sex Acts, this time the November 1991 issue. Once again, no photos of Carol on the inside, alas. It's now the third pic in the seventh row. I flipped it to try to match the other pics. Even Later: The same photo, unfortunately in the same two inch by two inch size, also is on the cover of yet another Swank offshoot, Swank's Uncensored Girls, May-June, 1989. Once again, there are no additional photos of Carol inside the magazine.

Much Later: Once again I am indebted to Demsal8 for performing computer miracles and removing type from three of the pictures (one of which takes up two scans). Below are the pics which used to be in the sequence above, with their type still on them. The Demsal-ized, typeless versions are above: the first pic in the first row, the second in the second row, and the second pic (but the third scan) in the eighth row.

The "real" world has been keeping me busy for the last couple of weeks, causing me to put off answering a post until I had time to re-watch a certain video. And now, the post has disappeared, removed maybe by the poster or by the moderator? . . .

Anyway, the poster, whose name I don't recall, asked if Carol had done any facials or anals. With the matter of facials, the short answer is: no, unless it happened in one of the few videos of hers which I don't have. I did a longer answer in post #138, here:

As for anals, she did one in the second video in the Hershe Highway series. She also did two different types of DP in the same scene, first with both Marc Wallice and Scott Irish in her vagina (which supposedly was an accident due to Wallice's faulty marksmanship), then with Irish in her vagina and Wallice doing the anal honors. Most of the same scene also shows up in the first Boob, Butts and Bloopers video, along with what the three were actually saying during the scene, edited out of the soundtrack of the Hershe Highway video.

As far as I know (again, there are a few of her videos I don't have), that's her one and only anal. However, I had recently noticed that IAFD.com also lists her as having an anal in the video Debbie Does 'Em All 3.

The first two scans are of the front and back covers of the VHS box (somewhat battered, with a sticker on the front that won't come off). The third is the promotional slick for the video (which promotied a different video on the opposite side). Fourth is the insert for the DVD edition's snap-case, unfortunately showing less of Ms. Dare than did the VHS covers.

Getting back to the main topic, I didn't recall her doing an anal in DDEA3, but I didn't have time to dig out my copy of the video and give it another watch until this week. Now that I have checked out both my VHS and DVD copies, I think somebody at IAFD made a mistake. (The Database is an amazing achievement, and I'm deeply impressed by the work involved, but even Jove nods.)

Carol has two scenes. At the beginning, with Don Fernando (yet again, and alas), and near the end, a g/g with Barbara Dare.

I watched the scene with Fernando twice. Aside from the obligatory blowjob that Carol gives him, every time that I can see what his tool is up to, it's in her vagina. If he entered her anus, it wasn't on camera. He does spurt all over her behind (she's in doggy position) and it oozes over her rosebud, but unless that's supposed to count as anal sex, there ain't none here.

The second scene is with Barbara Dare, another of my favorite ladies of porn; in spite of which, I'm not very fond of this scene. One problem I have with both of Carol's scenes is that the camera man seems to be trying to shoot her in as unflattering a way as possible. Barbara does use a dildo on Carol (and Carol returns the favor), but it doesn't go into her anus. (I should mention that I wouldn't consider it real anal intercourse even if the dildo had gone there, but it didn't.)

Unless there's more than one version of Debbie Does 'Em All 3 (which is possible; I know that some of Carol's other videos exist in more than one version, such as Bad Medicine, Between a Rock and a Hot Place, Keep it Cumming, etc.), she doesn't do anal in that video. So, AFAIK, Hershe Highway 2 is still her one and only.

P.S. Or maybe not, depending on what the meaning of "is" is -- pardon me, the meaning of "anal sex" is. I've belatedly remembered the scene or scenes at the end of The Girls Are Bustin' Loose, with Carol Cummings, Cheri Taylor, Tanya Foxx, and Stella Starr. At one point, and I think I have the names straight, Foxx is lying face-down on Taylor, who's lying face up, and Carol is behind Foxx, and both Carol and Cheri are wearing strap-ons. Cheri's plastic extension is in Foxx's vagina, while Carol's is in Foxx's anus. At the same time, Foxx is sucking on a third strap-on, worn by Stella Starr. So Carol was involved in a second anal scene, if a plastic dildo in the rear exhaust meets anyone's definition of "anal scene" (it doesn't meet mine). However, as far as Carol's being on the receiving end of an anal probe, either natural or plastic, AFAIK that still only happens in the second Hershe Highway video.

can be trusted, Carol's first on-camera sex scene was with Marc Wallice and took place out of doors. The scene she had in Girls of Double D, number VI fits that description, and here're scans of the box for that video:



The first pic in the first row is the front cover, left spine of the box, and bottom flap. The second pic is the back cover. The third is a blowup of the small pic on the spine, and the fourth is a blowup of another small pic on the top and bottom flaps of the box.

That's Tamara Lee with Carol in those pics. Carol has a microphone and a tag on her shirt that says "Reporter," so it would seem she's interviewing Tamara , but in the actual video, Carol is the interviewee, and Marc Wallice is the interviewer (and also the screwer), and she and Tamara Lee are in separate scenes. Of course, Carol is hardly a double D lady, though her equipment is certainly anything but inadequate, and probably would have been even if she had never had implants installed. (Which would have been my preference.)

The compilation video, Big Melons 26 recycles the same scene, and has a pic (unfortunately very small) from it on the back cover, accompanied by a strangely-written description. Here's the pic with, and without that weird description:

I think that might be Carol in the upper right photo on the back cover, but the resolution is so pathetic, I can't be sure.

I don't know if the scene being Carol's adult video debut (assuming that it is) has anything to do with the quality of the scene, but I think it's one of her best. It definitely makes my top ten CC list. Many thanks to ooopsy for posting the scene here:

Having said that, another interview (post #120) has her saying that a video called The Big Black Bet (which sounds like it's the video released as Bet Black) was her first video. Now, Bet Black does have Marc Wallice in it, and he has a sex scene outdoors in what looks like the same place where his scene with Carol in Girls of Double-D VI took place, but it's with Nina DePonca rather than Carol. The two videos have other sets/locations in common, and Carol is wearing the same curly red wig in both, which makes me wonder if both were shot simultaneously, maybe in the same day, and Carol did three scenes close together in time, and thought all three of her scenes were going into The Big Black Bet/Bet Black, instead of her first scene (with Wallice) going into Girls of Double D VI and the other two (one with Nina DePonca, the other with Ray Victory) into Bet Black. In any case, I'll be getting to Bet Black, but first . . .

In the same interview, Carol describes what she says (maybe) was her second video, and the description matches The Girls are Busting Loose. Depending how you want to count them, she has two or three g/g scenes in the video, and the scenes, of course, need not have been shot in the same order in which they appear in the video, so it's not definite which scene might have been her second g/g . . . assuming she actually said in the interview in post #176 that her first g/g was with Nina DePonca (probably, again, in Bet Black). But, before I make everyone's eyes glaze over, here are the box covers and spine of a video that might have the lady's second lesbian scene. The video is all-girl, I should mention.








The first pic in the top row is the front of the box, second is the back of the box, and the third is one of the spines. I don't normally scan the spine of a video box unless it has a pic that doesn't appear on the front or back cover, but made an exception this time since the letters over Carol's chest are arranged differently from the front cover.

The second row has blowups of the three small pics on the back cover. The first has Cheri Taylor on the left and Carol on the right in the circle. (Obviously, it's the winner's circle.) The second has Carol by herself. The third has four ladies putting strap-ons to good use -- or at least they do in the video. This still photo may just be simulated. Stella Starr is the leftmost, with Carol next in line, then Cheri Taylor, then Tanya Fox on the far right. (Later: Many thanks to Dar99, who correctly identifed which lady was Tanya Fox, and pointed out that I had misidentified Stella Star as Cheri Taylor in the original version of this paragraph. I think I have it right now.)

Jeanna Fine, with a partner I don't recognize (IAFD identifies her as "girl"), has a g/g scene in the video, though neither she nor her costar get billing on the box. The scene has a quasi-psychedelic look and has nothing to do with the rest of the video. Maybe it's supposed to be a fantasy that's running through the minds of one or more of the four ladies who do get billing on the box.

The third row has scans of an ad for The Girls Are Busting Loose which appeared in two different places. The one on the left was in the 1989 annual AVN Viewer's Guide. The same ad appeared in the January 1989 Adult Video News, but the second appearance of the ad has its photo of Carol looking lighter, so that details of her face and the extent of her wig are more visible. I think the difference justifies posting both versions of the ad.

Getting back to Bet Black, here are the VHS box's front and back covers and three small pics from the left spine, right spine, and flap of the box, all with different pics of Carol Cummings and/or Nina DePonca (I think that's Ms. DePonca's behind looming over the roulette wheel on the back cover) :



And here are the front and back of a slick for Bet Black. Unfortunately, holes for a ring binder have been punched through the sheet by a previous owner, and the cheapskates at the video company had the back side (no pun intended) printed in black and white.



While dorking around online, I stumbled across the front cover of the Spanish edition of Bet Black and here it is (thanks to the original poster, though I wish they hadn't tilted it):



According to Babelfish, the title translates as "Dangerous Bets." Too bad that I don't have a copy of the Spanish edition, since its box might have even more photos of the two ladies.

Getting back to the U.S. edition's box, the back cover has three pics of Ms. Cummings in action, one from her first scene, with Nina DePonca, and two from her second scene, with Ray Victory. Here are separate scans of the three:

Carol's scene with Ray Victory was recycled in the compilation video, Dirty Dozen #23, and there was an appropriate pic on the video box's back cover. I've scanned it here. Since it was a very small photo, the scan is unfortunately blurred and grainy. On the box, the photo was obviously flipped (the words on the posters on the wall were mirror-reversed), so I've un-flipped it.

More Than Friends has Carol Cummings and Angela Baron together on the outside of the box, but they don't get together in the actual video. (To the best of my knowledge, as well as IAFD's, Carol and Angela had no scenes together in any video. Not just sex scenes, but any scenes at all, period.)

Angela's scene in More Than Friends is a three-way of two girls and one guy -- Tom Byron being the guy, and the third participant being a brunette who looks to me like the lady named "Elise" in another faked threesome in Cat Scratch Fever, though Elise is not in the credits this time. This scene is another where Angela's penetration is again obviously faked (she was married to Perry Ross, the owner of the video company, who didn't want her getting serviced by other men, I've heard), while Carol's only sex scene is with Jon Dough. But I can overlook the deceptive packaging, because Carol's scene is my favorite of all her scenes, in spite of a long, obvious, and annoying loop, and a less than sharply-focused picture (possibly because of the subdued blue lighting).

More Than Friends is out of print, but Carol's scene is included in the compilation video Cum for Me, Carol, which Excalibur has kept in print in their own DVD-R edition.

Here're the pics:





The box for the video is unusual, having a wraparound front cover. Angela is on the left, and her abundant hair turns the corner and ends up on the left spine. Carol's equally abundant hair (though it isn't really hers) similarly extends onto the right spine. and both ladies' legs extend into the bottom flap, though Carol's thigh is not completely visible, having an extra pic slapped over it. The top flap is the same as the bottom flap, so I didn't include it in the scan.

The first pic, top row, shows just the front of the box. The second shows the front plus the left spine and bottom flap (Angela's hair and both ladies' thighs). The third shows the front plus the right spine and bottom flap (Carol's wig and dueling thighs). The fourth pic shows the back cover. The fifth pic (at the end of the top row) is a tight scan of the inset pic on the bottom and top box flaps. Unless they swapped clothing and a bracelet, Angela is on the left with Carol's hand on her thigh (such deceptive packaging!) and Carol is on the right with Angela's hand on her thigh.

Leading off the bottom row is a tight scan of the small pic of the ladies that's on both spines. It's the same as the photo on the box's back cover, but without the type -- and much smaller, alas. Also alas, there is a crease running into Carol's back, but I thought that was preferable to the two creases that run across her leg in the other spine's pic. Getting back to the rest of the row . . .

Without mirrors, the entire wraparound pic on the front and spines can't be seen all at once. However, the second pic in the second row is the front of a slick showing the whole panorama at a glance. And Carol's thigh can now be seen without hindrance . . . well, less hindrance, at least, disregarding the lettering over her leg. (Slicks are small posters, 8 1/2" x 11", intended for video shops to put up and push the product.) The back of the slick (third pic, second row) has the same pic as the back of the video box, but it's in black & white, unfortunately. Of course, it could have been even less fortunate, since some slicks have two different videos' covers, one on each side.

Finishing off the row, the fourth pic is of the entire sleeve, spread out flat, of the low-priced (a store in NYC was selling it for $3.99 about 1995) edition of More Than Friends issued by Cinderella, which I thought might be of some interest. This was in a sleeve about the same size as the VHS cassette, and the video store which was the former owner had slit the sleeve at one end to fit it into a plastic VHS tape snap-case, so I was able to spread it out flat and get the whole thing in one scan. As a result, the front cover is on the far right, with the back cover on the left between the two spines. Two things to note are that both the front and back photos were flipped for this edition from the way they were on the original large video box, and this time Carol gets higher billing than Angela Baron, the reverse of the original release. There were four stickers on the sleeve, and I managed to peel two off, though one of them took a little of Angela's hair with it from the front cover, but the other two are on there to stay, alas, unless time weakens the glue so that they can be removed without taking the parts of the pics underneath with them.

The video is similar in format to the five videos of The Carol Cummings Show and also The Girl With the Blue Jeans Off and Cat Scratch Fever. Carol begins the video by looking into the video camera and talking to the audience while soaking in what might be a small indoor swimming pool or a large hot tub or jacuzzi (though the water isn't bubbling) and describes the sex scenes she has witnessed while staying as a guest in what's supposed to be Angela Baron's house. As she describes them, we see those scenes, which have no other connection with each other. The same house interiors have shown up in several other Fantasy (or Fanta-Z, or Leisure) videos. so it might actually be a house.

Girls Like Us is a compilation, and Carol's scene with Sharon Kane is taken from the video America's Most Wanted Girl (where they spell her name "Carrol" in the credits). But since that video is as out of print as Girls Like Us, that's not really useful info.

Carol has two scenes in America's Most Wanted Girl. The g/g with Kane is the first. The second is with Robert Bullock.

It's definitely to my liking. Nice pics, and this provides an excellent reason why nobody should ever throw anything away. Not that such a policy is practical . . .

I thought the place that Carol is in looked familiar, and when I went back to this post, with pics from a spread in the September 1989 issue of Velvet:

I saw that Carol was indeed in the same room, though the guy wasn't visible. (Anyone know who he is?) These pictures have more muted colors than in Velvet, so it's not obvious that Carol is wearing a red wig and red stockings. In fact, it may not be obvious in the scans from Velvet I posted, since the scans came out with more subdued reds than the original magazine pics showed.

Good stuff. Do you recall where you got them and if there was any information about them?

I wonder why Carol looks so grumpy in these pics? . . .
