60's Singers

Back in the early 60's there were a couple of singers-Marion Ryan and Anita Harris I seem to remember sneaking a peek at my dads mags and seeing topless photos of them both, does anybody know/remember these photos. I was only about 14 at the time so I suppose my memory could be playing me false or maybe they were 'lookalikes'.

I remember seeing back-issue adverts for a mens mag which said they had Anita Harris and Susan Hampshire. As usual I can't remember the name of the magazine* >

The Anita Harris, Susan Hampshire and Marion Ryan features were in a magazine named King: Mayfair magazine took over King at the end of the 60's.
There is a shop in London, The Vintage Magazine Company, it is in SoHo and has copies at times. Be aware though the last copy I saw which was 15 years ago (that's when I left England to travel) was being sold for $300 and for a nipple shot that's a lot

I remember Anita Harris, she appeared on the Benny Hill show, usually ending up in just her underwear, stockings, suspender belt and bra, very tasty, she had beautiful eyes as well.

All the images in post #2 were scanned and posted by me on another site. The magazine in which they appeared was called King, and they were in the January 1966 edition. I still have the magazine, but its a bit tatty now.

I was going to post the same images but I see someone has beaten me to it.

They also appeared in Mayfair in October 1967. At the time, the two magazines were owned by rival publishers (Paul Raymond and Fisk), but later Raymond sold King to Mayfair's owners, and the Anita Harris photos wre reprinted several times.

Anita Harris was also once prolific in pantomimes mostly as the 'principal boy' (which is when the woman pretends to be a man) like Dick Whittington or Aladdin. I don't remember her in Benny Hill but I think she was in one or two Carry On films in the early days like Nurse etc. I also remember her turning up on Christmas specials of things on television and a regular on Blankety Blank in the 1980s. Her name was almost cockney rhyming slang - a neater 'arris which mean a neat bottom-well she certainly had one of those.

Sorry Sam but your mind is playing tricks on you. I ONLY WISH Anita had appeared in suspenders and bra on Benny Hill. But i dont even remember her being on Benny Hill!!?? She used to ALWAYS be in hotpants on David Nixon's magic show. But you're getting confused with her 'sussies' scene on the roof in the above mentioned 'Carry On' film
