True Lies finally getting remastered and released in 4K is going to be absolutely epic. Is ripping 4K discs even a thing yet? Will the pole dancing scene be shareable or just every man for himself?

(I’m not sure if this breaks a rule, and I hope it doesn’t, but this is a link to the upcoming 4K release, for those who didn’t know about it)

Unfortunately I believe that the True Lies UHD is just going to be an AI upscale of a 1080p master like the Terminator 2 UHD, but it's nice that it will be available on physical media that's better than DVD.

Ripping 4K discs is definitely possible, but it's a bit of a PITA since one has to buy a compatible PC drive and then hack it or buy a pre-hacked one from someone, and then use special software that connects to the internet to rip the disc.

Here are some 4K screenshots I took from the True Lies 4K that was released digitally a few months ago. I was pretty limited in what I could get, as the video file is very large and my laptop was barely able to play it. The colouring coming of blue/grey I have been told is from my laptop not having a real 4K player, so I am unsure of how it will look for those who have one or get the physical 4K release.
