Posting working .GIFs in a forum message/post solution and question
I've done some digging in the Help section and while there are a few other threads on .GIFs I thought one dedicated to viewing working .GIF images in a post or forum message would be helpful.
I've learned how to post a working .GIF into a forum message that I found from a website. The process involves a (1) right click on the image, (2) copy the address, (3) go into the forum message post and paste the URL into the message, (4) remove the brackets around the image address and replacing them with [img] [/img] Now the problem... I don't know how to post a working .GIF into a post that I have already downloaded and saved on my computer. Any ideas would be helpful!

By working do you mean already moving when you view it like this, as I don't think its allowed.
Or just posting a gif that moves when you click on it Last edited by rotobott; January 1st, 2019 at 08:59 PM.. |

You mean you've got the .gif in your computer? Then you've got to upload it to an image hosting that allows .gif images (imagebam would be one, but there are others) and copy the code they provide for posting on forums, then paste that code on a post.

I've switched image hosts and did a test and the problem is resolved for Forum posts. I am able to post moving GIFs when I leave visitor messages on a user's profile which is allowed and looks neat! Best!
