I saw that documentary and it is suggested that she was infected with HIV by Mark Wallice in 1995. Pretty much of the last third is about Mark Wallice and his refusal to be tested during the outbreak. In the end he says that he's living on disability in a trailer park and that he's broke before the end of the month.

His former best friend, Tom Byron, is featured as well and says that Wallice was a heavy cocaine addict at the time. They were roommates.

People with cocaine habits tend not to be very introspective. They often see what other people do, without making the connection that they are doing likewise.

I think it is a tragic shame that Marc Wallace was likely patient zero in the whole HIV scare. He put his pecker in a lot of women without a condom.

The other thing that bugs me is why Marc was still working without a valid test. Why on earth would any director or casting agent go near someone who hasn't been proven to be clean!?

I still need to see the documentary. I saw it listed but missed it. Hopefully its still available on-demand.
