Now she has had to leave her home due to multiple death threats from right wing crazies. And if she lies under oath before the Senate and is found out, she (unlike Kavanaugh, who has already perjured himself repeatedly without any consequences) will go to prison.
3) If Dr. Ford is lying, then why is she the one demanding a law enforcement investigation into her claims that would run the risk of exposing her as a wrongful accuser and be prosecuted for it, while the accused and his allies do everything in their power to keep that investigation from being started? That is not how an innocent man would act, he would welcome the investigation as an opportunity to clear his name, he wouldn't want to be known as the alleged rapist on the bench for the next thirty years.
1.) Maybe she is genuinely delusional, maybe a assault did happen and she doesn't remember details or the attacker. I will agree this part gives me the most pause, however the inconsistency between her story now & the story in the Shrink's notes makes me wary even of it.
2.) She is a hard leftist, she has a chance to strike a blow for leftism despite Brett being a very tame & reasonable conservative. She might think she is preventing roe v wade from being overturned despite their being little evidence on if Brett would be willing to do so or not.
3.) Because she knows there will likely be very little way to definitively say she is lying as long as she despicalbly refuses to disclose dates & locations & she knows feminist & leftist will call anyone critical of her a misogynist & pro rape no matter what.
She likely knows such a investigation will never happen (it's a state crime not a federal one if it in fact happened) and she Is demanding one anyway so she will be able to claim the FBI is sexist and doesn't take sexual accusations seriously.

1 - I can't but it's a far far more reasonable & rational assumption as to why cops are more on edge around blacks then assuming they are all deranged white supremacist who would bring back slavery in a heart beat if they had they power to do so.

2 - I'm attributing it as being a symptom of a groups culture, not the groups genetics or race. And further evidence is BLM defending her, I saw a youtuber call her something akin to "a lioness of freedom".

3 - Give me statistics on attempted murder of cops in said areas. Maybe the cops are just quicker on the draw.

Where did you get this number?
According to this article - http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/09/19...y-in-2018.html
Quote:
Roughly 135 cops died in 2016, making it the deadliest year for police officers in at least five years, Fox News*found. While there were fewer deaths in 2017, the numbers weren’t much better: a total of*129 officers died*last year. And 46 of those were caused by gunfire.

Love the cute "Brett" appelation; I take it you know him personally.

Maybe it's Brett who is delusional; maybe he was so drunk he has no memory of his assault. Maybe he's so ashamed of losing it, he's gone in to self inflicted amnesia. Maybe he wants to join the self admitted groper in chief's team and has the credentials to join the fraternity.

1 - I couldn't think of how to spell his last name, so I just left it at Brett.

2 - That's possible also.

I'd like to make two additional points:

1) This is not a criminal trial, but a job interview for the very highest position any lawyer in the country can aspire to. If Kavanaugh doesn't get the job due to too much baggage and other factors, this doesn't "ruin his life" (Lindsey Graham being more melodramatic than a school girl), he keeps the powerful lifetime appointment as an appeal's court judge he already has. He'll be more than fine and continue to enjoy power and privilege as ordinary folk like you and I never will. Ask yourself honestly: If you were CEO of a Fortune 500 company, and had your pick of dozens of equally qualified top candidates for the position of chief counsel in your company, would you hire someone who has
  • already lied in his job interview repeatedly both about his personal and professional life
  • several sexual assault accusations hanging over his head
  • large gambling debts that mysteriously disappeared with no explanation from the candidate about where the money came from
or hire one of the many other candidates who comes without all this baggage? I believe you know the answer to this question. Not one single of those 500 corporations would hire the guy full of baggage, unanswered questions, lies and incalculable risk of future problems and liabilities. They'd simply pick another candidate. Why then should the standards for one of the most powerful positions in the most powerful government in the world be so much lower? This is a person who can never be removed from the voters (unlike even the President and every Senator and House member) - he will likely be in office until he dies. There was a time when Americans demanded at least some standards of personal and professional conduct in their highest officials.

2) Kavanaugh is Gertrude come to life: "The lady doth protest too much!" Rather than doing the obvious Dubya and 'fessing up to be a regular born again Christian "did some things in my youth that I'm not proud of, but now I'm a different man", he wants us to believe he was the Patron Saint of the Virtuous in prep school and at university, a virgin who was only interested in studying, varsity sports and extracurricular volunteer work. Oddly his peers and their yearbooks remember him as a heavy drinker, pussy hound and partier who hung out with other heavy drinkers and partiers. You know, frat boys. That, in itself, is not criminal, so why lie about it?

Does anyone here actually buy this holier than thou load of bullshit? This guy is rather desperately trying to hide something and is way overselling it, even Stevie Wonder can see that.

Remember my point about Dr. Ford risking going public in the hopes that other would come forward? It is no accident that these things supposedly happened at drunken bashes. As one who has participated in many drunken bashes and done some really questionable stuff in blackouts let me say that I have seen similar behavior from both sexes at these gatherings. And that's just the parties I can remember, which after a certain point is not too many of them. How I managed to avoid arrest, I will never know.

I really don't like this whole Kavanaugh circus. While he strikes me as a drinking man and the accusers sound credible based on my experience, I do not believe that he is a serial rapist or that high school and college indiscretions ought to bar his confirmation. (BTW, I am very much opposed to trying juveniles as adults.)

All this grandstanding BS and media circus makes me pine for the day when the Senate Committee on the Judiciary carried on its approval process behind closed doors.

The only reason why there is a "Kavanaugh circus" in the first place is a President with a well founded fear of exchanging his lodgings in the White House for a prison cell. Any other Republican President would have selected another Heritage approved anti-abortion pro-corporations-are-people goon without the baggage of sexual assaults, perjury and gambling debts.

His repeated, on the record perjuries alone would have immediately disqualified him in better days. In a republic with still functional political hygiene, such a man would furthermore be removed from his current post, disbarred and never serve as a judge or lawyer again. If you and I did the same, we would be held in contempt of Congress and go to prison.

With such a compromised judge (and newly minted Fox News celebrity, that's another first for SCOTUS nominees) on the bench, the cancer of Trumpism will have metastasized into the last of the three branches of government. There is a word for a form government whose branches primarily concern themselves with keeping the dear leader out of prison: Autocracy.

It's worth noting that this type of event only happens when a Republican president nominates a conservative judge to the court. When a Democrat nominates a bleeding heart liberal judge like Ginsberg or Sotomayor you don't see this behavior from the GOP. It's always the Dems. Like I said... rule or ruin.

With Michael Avenatti (Stormy's lawyer) trying to muscle into the Hearing in with a third 'credible witness' ... a little Hell broke out.

Whomever this witness is, it got the spammers into overload so much that Avenatti had to close down his Twitt account.

4Chan and Reddit and the standard pro-trump trolls went into overdrive.

Avenatti has not named this witness.... but... is 100% convinced of her veracity.

Quote:
“I made the determination she was 100 percent credible well before Sunday night,” Avenatti, told POLITICO, referring to the first time he disclosed the allegations involving Kavanaugh.

“We’ve received over 3,000 inquiries in the last six months from people with all kinds of crazy stories and fabrications. I’ve heard it all. I’ve seen it all. Like we don’t vet clients. Give me a break.”
Quote:
When asked whether she would take her story public regardless of whether the committee called her to testify, Avenatti responded: “Correct.” *

“We have not arrived at a firm plan relating to the initial disclosure of these allegations,” he said. “We are still working through it. This is a very dynamic situation with a lot of emotions at stake.”

* Might explain the DoS attacks within 24 hours on his Twittle account.
This lady may be quite important.
And like the Kavanaugh team, came up with 65 supporting female High School "friends" of his... also within 24 Hours of Dr Ford being publicly named... someone knew, someone leaked

Can you find, and obtain Testimony of 65 friends from 35 years ago...
~ within 24 hours ?

Even though some are now withdrawing their support.

..................

As the writer said:

"Everything Trump Touches Dies" , #1 NYT Bestseller

~ and Rick Wilson is a die-hard Republican... 'old-school' obviously.
