Prometheus (2012) - yet again
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1446714/ The ageing head of the infamous Weyland Corporation as shown in the previous Alien franchise movies sends a bunch of explorers into space to look for the secret to the creation of mankind and possibly eternal life, but they find something far more ancient and sinister The belated sequel to the Alien movies, some good visuals but didn't quite hit it with me as maybe my expectations were too high https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93rPjItBZHw

The Watcher in the Woods (1980)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081738/ One of those on my I must watch at some time list, a family move into a large remote house leased to them by strange owner Bette Davis. There's lots of really odd goings on and something strange and glowing in the woods. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DFacqQp8uw

Just back from my delayed trip to see the new Kong movie
Kong: Skull Island (2017) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3731562/ Set in 1944 at the start with two enemy pilots crashing on a remote island n which the King is briefly introduced, skip forward to 1973 where the rest of the film is set as John Goodman and Corey Hawkins trying to organise assistance in exploring an uncharted island, they are given military assistance from SLJ's helicopter squadron who thought they were on the way home. Pretty soon after the choppers set off charges to measure seismic waves it kicks off big style. There's a few recognisable nods to past KK films (Giant Octopus ) although this time the other non human inhabitants of Skull Island are a mixed bag the larger Skull Crawlers are impressive, as neo2008 says hand around for the post credit sequence, although for monster lovers there was a clue just before thanking Toho for permission to use other creatures that had not been featured yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP0-9FBs2Rs
