Moscow 1941/42
The biggest battle in all world history. More than seven million people took part
Moscow was twice as big as Stalingrad. Sounds strange, but it's true 548 MB / 46:41 min http://s18d0t.1fichier.com/en/ Last edited by palo5; January 12th, 2014 at 01:08 PM.. Reason: Filesize & runtime added |

The Destruction of Army Group Center 1944
Operation Bagration. May not be well known in The West, but it was the most successful offensive in WW2, probably of all time

Battle of Berlin
USSR could have taken Berlin in February/March 1945, but it was thought other tasks in the south were more important, so they were dealt with first
Some think the Western Allies should have taken Berlin. But they had not advanced enough, and were never in a position to do this 539 MB / 45:53 min http://wlnnxb.1fichier.com/en/ |

Siege of Leningrad - 900 Days
Leningrad lost more than a million dead in WW2. That''s almost twice as many as US/UK combined for the entire war, and we're only talking about one city
Most died from starvation http://aq7u95.1fichier.com/en/ |

palo5,
Thanks for these. I've not seen them before. I watched the Kursk salient vid last night and thought it was pretty good. I especially liked some of the details of the defense. Very good. Quote:
Just something I seem to remember from long ago. I'm sure others would have more definitive info. But thanks again for the vids. I'll probably watch all of them. |

This year brings the 40th anniversary of the ground breaking and superbly made documentary series so watch out for some repeats coming soon.
