Must be in English, or mostly English

My dokus have no screencaps. The titles should be enough

These are not always on chronological order. The first is Stalingrad

Default Moscow 1941/42

The biggest battle in all world history. More than seven million people took part

Moscow was twice as big as Stalingrad. Sounds strange, but it's true

Operation Bagration. May not be well known in The West, but it was the most successful offensive in WW2, probably of all time

Default Battle of Berlin

USSR could have taken Berlin in February/March 1945, but it was thought other tasks in the south were more important, so they were dealt with first

Some think the Western Allies should have taken Berlin. But they had not advanced enough, and were never in a position to do this

Default Siege of Leningrad - 900 Days

Leningrad lost more than a million dead in WW2. That''s almost twice as many as US/UK combined for the entire war, and we're only talking about one city

Most died from starvation

palo5,

Thanks for these. I've not seen them before. I watched the Kursk salient vid last night and thought it was pretty good. I especially liked some of the details of the defense. Very good.

Not my area of expertise but I think this could be argued. If I remember correctly, if Patton had been allowed to do his thing he would have been in (or at least around) Berlin fairly early. He wanted to go for Berlin but Eisenhower either slowed him down or outright stopped him. I guess Ike preferred the Russians take the casualties.

Just something I seem to remember from long ago. I'm sure others would have more definitive info.

But thanks again for the vids. I'll probably watch all of them.
