Australian tennis player Pat Rafter is the only one to hold the World No 1 mens singles ranking for just a week in July 1999. So far Murray has just lasted a fortnight.

In contrast to popular belief Marie Antoinette never said "Let them eat cake"
And it was actually first in 1843 it was attributed to her by Alphonse Karr

The one who actually said it was the French Queen Maria Theresa who was Queen of France from 1660 to 1683. She was the wife of Louis XIV of France.
The line "Let them eat cake or to be more correct " Let them eat Brioche" was said in the 1660s over a 100 years before the French revolution.

Did you know that Paul Revere never finished that ride that come to be named after him. Paul Revere was stopped by a British patrol on his way to Concord. He never made it! In fact, he was riding with two other men, only one of whom succeeded in warning the Americans in Concord that the British were coming.
William Dawes also rode with Paul Revere that night. He, too, was stopped by a British patrol. He managed to escape, as did Dr. Samuel Prescott, the third rider.
Dawes, meanwhile, got lost in the dark and never made it to Concord.
Only Dr. Samuel Prescott reached Concord, where he delivered the warning, "The British are Coming!" And when the British came to Concord, the Americans were ready.

Also the warning was not " The British are coming" The warning was "The Regulars are coming" As the people in the colonies viewd themselves as British. It would have made no sense to say The British are coming, as they themselves were British.

Did you know that on the 20th of October 1902 Edward Marshuts shoot and killed Marian Nolan on O’Farrell Street in San Francisco. He shoot her twice with a 32 caliber Smith and Wesson.

Edward Marshuts than shoot himself so they could be toghter in the afterlife.

The reason that Edward killed Marian was that she was not interested in him. And he was obsessed with her.

Marian Nolan is best known for being the model for the California Venus that was made in 1895.
