One Dark Night (1982) IMDB Trailer A girl spends the night in a mausoleum so she can be in the sisters club. But in the mausoleum a new dead body starts to haunt the cemetery and the girl in it. I saw this movie in the early 90's on local TV, it's been years since i last saw it on TV. But at least it's great that i found it on the net.

Vasectomy: A Delicate Matter (1986) Paul Sorvino's wife has just had their eighth son, so she wants him to undergo the title procedure, but he's got bigger problems trying to manage the bank and trust of a recently deceased multi-millionaire and all his scheming relatives. Low-budget flick has good-natured characters at its core and is a pleasant enough diversion. 6/10 Rosemary's Baby (1968) My first exposure to this classic urban thriller of a young first-time mother who has growing suspicions about the odd behavior of her new neighbors, obstetrician...even her husband. Director Roman Polanski draws the audience into Mia Farrow's plight extremely skillfully, leaving you to wonder if what you're seeing is actually happening or simply paranoia. Lots of brief, intriguing moments that almost guarantees I'll be watching this again. 9/10 |

ADRIFT
A bunch of vacuous pretty people decide to jump off a yacht for a wee paddle in the deep blue sea , without first dropping a ladder over the side ...oops !! . They then spend the next couple of days spashing about , crying , screaming and shouting at each other , as you do when you're facing a soggy end due to your own stupidity . So , kind of thin plotwise . As for character developement , well lets say its as good as good as it can be when your lines are mostly variations of " It's all your fault , you fucking bastard " whilst gulping down a few pints of ocean . Personally I feel that the film would have been vastly improved If a boatload of psychos had turned up and chummed the water with a ton of blood and fish guts while playing the theme tune to Jaws over a tannoy , but then I'm not right in the head . |

Hey all, just finished Clue (1985). First time to watch it on blu-ray. A brilliant comedy starring the legendary Tim Curry. Highly recommended!

The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp - glorious piece of film making and Deborah Kerr just glows in it. Churchill hated it...

Easter Parade (1948) In 1910's NYC, Fred Astaire is dumped by vaudeville dance partner and lover Ann Miller only to pick right up with bartop hoofer Judy Garland. Classic MGM musical may have a bit too many tunes but it's hard to complain with the talent on display. 8/10 Don't Make Waves (1967) Silly but enjoyable summer romp sees Tony Curtis destitute after a roadside mishap with luscious Claudia Cardinale, then finagling his way into her life. Lots of prime beach flesh on display - both male and female - but it's marred by a wildly improbable finale. 5/10 Midnight Lace (1960) Wealthy American heiress Doris Day begins receiving threatening phone calls at her London flat. Hubby Rex Harrison and aunt Myrna Loy help her thru the ordeal. Fantastic whodunit atmosphere with no real clear indication who's behind things, thanks to plenty of red herrings dropped along the way. Doris' traumatic scenes apparently took a real toll during filming. 8/10
