I met Winebeavis and Mrs Winebeavis only once - it was a lovely evening of food and good wine and terrific company. I would love to have met Billy and I am very sorry it was not to be.
For both Winebeavis and Billy Bunter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNxCs7g8_vs

I'm missing Winebeavis a bunch right now.
I'm digging through the darkest depths of the classic movies forum, and am running across a bunch of his posts. That is making me remember, and miss, his warm and friendly spirit that he always had here. Got a story to share with you all about WB. Long ago I was just a wee-little senior member here. I was probably about 50 or so 'thanks' away from the upgrade in rank. I had been a senior member for a looong time. It was the middle of the night and I was here, as usual. I needed to report a thread for something stupid, that required immediate attention. The report button wouldn't do. So I looked at the mod list to see who was active at the moment to send a PM. Of course Winebeavis was here late at night too, as usual. I sent WB the message and the issue was dealt with. A little bit later I looked at my user control panel. WB was going through my posts and thanking each one until I got the upgrade in rank. He didn't have to do that. But he did. Yeah, it's just a user-rank on a forum and not some earth shaking event. But it still goes to show just how warm and thoughtful of a person he was. -Chip. --
