Carry On Regardless!
@profquartermass - Is that a touch enough? Let me know if you want more, there's plenty of paint left in the jar. By the way, the lady's a keeper. I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers.

/QUOTE] That's pretty good! Many thanks. How do you do that? I use Photoshop 7 and can never seem to get the tint of colour right. The colours just end up looking dirty. I guess you use the Paint Tool and select a particular mode for this tool? Do you use the Overlay mode for example on a low level of Opacity? |

Writing free, colored pictures
@mynxfan - your pictures are ready. Hope you enjoy the show. I wasn't sure if you wanted blue stocking or purple, or a mix of the two. I tried to mix them here, but it's difficult to get a combination that doesn't look like either of the extremes when on the canvas. And really, the grey stockings on the original b/w are too light for a dark color to work well. I did my best anyway. Enjoy!
@profquartermass - I wish I could answer your questions, but we aren't speaking the same language. You see, I don't use Photoshop, but another package that I started using long ago when Windows 3.1 was available. I've upgraded several times through the years, so there are more capabilities on the current one, yet I remember one old capability that I used to have that isn't there anymore. No one told me how to do what I do, I learned by experimenting. What I did initially on image coloring was very primitive compared to my operations now, and somewhat laughable in hindsight. Selecting colors is always a pain. My package came with pallets of thousands of colors, and sometimes none of them fit without some tweeking. I have created my own pallet of skin and hair colors, garnered from other photos and my own work over the years because nothing in the package works quite right. It takes a lot of patience and experimenting to get everything right. May I suggest you Google 'coloriziing' and you will find lots of people out there willing to teach you how to color on Photoshop. Good luck, I could use some help here if you ever get it figured out.

I've been looking through P3 girls & found two pics which might be suitable, you've done plenty of work for me so feel free to do these if you like them or not if you don't.
Claudine Bird & Janet Baker

More p3 girls
@nopar king - Send them to my place for a weekend. I'll try them out and if I like them, I'll do them. How's that?
But if you want the same rainbow output I did with Jilly, these both have problems, but they are easily fixed. Claudine (that's the one on the left, right?) is in a realistic setting and that generally calls for realistic painting, but I can easily pull her out of the picture and put her on a different background so no real problem. Janet's background is both too light and too dark, neither of which will show colors easily. I can do two things here, first readjust the contrast on the background so they are more toward the middle of the range, or do the same thing I suggested above with Claudine. In any of these options I can play with colors easily if you want. And no, you haven't requested that much work, DEB JORDAN FAN holds that distinction in spades. But both of you are welcome to submit as much as you want. Generally first come, first served with a little tweaking for priorities according to my own desires. Note: for some reason unkown, I can't pick up the picture of Janet and move it to my computer for processing. Is there an alternate location where I can find it? Note to Note: Found another identical print in 'A-Z P@ge 3 Girls List and Rare P@ge 3 girls' posted by mikeleverson but that one won't come here either. What's going on with this pict? Is it some kind of strange format? If so, and you can get it, convert to .jpg and send me another copy. Note again: It suddenly occurred to me there may be another explaination. When I click on the picture on the screen, I expect to see a full size version displayed, in this case, it doesn't. That may be because what's on the screen IS the full size version. If that's so, I can still do my magic, but if you try to look at an enlarged version it will get really blurred. I'm going to PM mileleverson to find out if there is a larger version available. More later. Notice to EVERYBODY: on Friday morning I leave my home to attend a convention for one of my hobbies (not coloring pictures). I will be gone more than one week and maybe just more than two. I will have my computer with me and will have internet access, but I don't know how much of your work I will be able to process. When I return, I will be back on a full schedule, so keep those card and letters coming in. I'll catch up some time shortly after.

More fun and games with Claudine
@nopar king - Worked on Claudine Bird's picture and did some of the same stuff I did for Jilly. Easy girl to mask off and then change the background forever. With this type of image, after the initial coloring and masking, I do the changes almost as fast as I can think of them.
First row; 1) original picture, 2) girl colored, 3) and background colored, then 4) background lightened significantly to make the girl pop out. Second row; 1) Same as last image in previous row but with the background tinted blue for a different emphasis, 2) put the girl on a solid red color background, 3) a bullseye background yellow within red, and 4) a binary color background with blue and yellow. A final row of two picts with a graduated purple, darker on the lower left. In the final pict, it occurred to me that this pose would be just as good lying down, so I rotated the picture counterclockwise 90 degrees. Janet Baker's photo is going to wait until I hear something from mikeleverson. @DEB JORDAN FAN - you're up next, two more pictures coming. Maybe I'll get them done before I crash tonight, maybe not. Either way, send me some more to fill in soon.

A double of your favorite girl
@DEB JORDAN FAN - included are the last two I have from you. It looks like the queue is filling up with other stuff (I've got six more photos on the request list), but you may as well get your next set going so send them in.
@nopar king - Yes, I think you're right about the shadow, I noticed that too and was already planning on doing it that way. Something's wrong with the photo uploader again. I requested two at once, but only the link for the first is available. The other seems to be stalled halfway between here and there. Am posting the first one and will try again later on the second. Sometimes I love my mind (when it works). I created a second message and got the second picture, only it didn't seem necessary to post two messages for two pictures. So I edited the second, did a copy on the photo portion of it, then edited this one and pasted the image into it above. Now I go back and delete the second message, and it's just like the big world really works! Attention "Me again" (aka mynxfan). Your credit is still good here, I seem to have no limit on how many I will accept from anybody. Just ask DEB JORDAN FAN. He has already received over 25 colored pictures. By the way, I love your avatar.
